Liv ~ that's exactly what I need. A nearby friend or neighbor to be a gym buddy with!

I do have some plans to get plenty of exercise through Monday ... they're very similar to the plans you have for this morning ;-) Like you, I'm waiting for kids to head off to school, but I did get a little preview earlier. My appetite is fully stimulated!!!!!

Hope you have a blast with your DH. How long will he be away?

YUM! Sounds good!
He will be gone until late tomorrow night. Meanwhile I will have plenty of distractions with my exercise and my parents!

I thought your Ps had already left for the snowbird season. When will they be heading this way?

No, they have not left yet and I am not sure they are capable of going back on their own, which is the issue we are all battling with. They think they are but no one else thinks so. It is very complicated and messy.

(((((Hugs))))), Liv.

My DH and I provided a lot of the care for his mom when she was on her own in the last years of her life. I know it's not an easy task you're dealing with.

Hi, you don't know me, but I've read your posts about doing Bikram yoga, and I wondered if you were aware of the risks associated with it? It sounds like you are in great shape, but it's awfully easy to stretch your ligaments and tendons too far when they are warmer than usual.

Anyway, I just thought you should know.

Nice to see you again, Buns.

Are you keeping up with your workout routine?

Actually I only took one Bikram yoga and personally hated it. Now it may have been only this one particular instructor, I had to leave several times during the class-the heat was way too hot (105 plus) and the style of yoga insufferable as far as I was concerned. I know many love it but the "hot" yoga I attend is actually in a room that is never more than 95 degrees and a mix of styles. The instructors are fabulous, they walk around and give lots of hands on assistance but never encourage you to push beyond your real limits.

People always should use caution and listen to their body when exercising. I appreciate your concern!

For me the style I have been practicing has reduced my pain from my arthritis and sped my work out recovery times immensely!!

I know I've been away for a while. Lots of stuff to deal with.

I am finally going to start getting this old body back in shape. Did therapy for a while and stupid me stopped working out when I was done not realizing I was actually getting shape with the stuff they were having me do!

With all of that darned swine flu going around I'm going to skip the gym or anything like that for a while. I was at the Salvation Army store and found a 'Bodies in Motion with Gilad' step aerobics tape and a step at a garage sale for $1.25. I did a little of it yesterday and liked to died! I checked a coupld of sites and found two of my fav videos (taped the shows but don't know what happened to them). 'Bodies in Motion with Gilad' and 'Body by Jake'. I plan to get at least one of each and get started on getting some conditioning and then I'll work my way up to 'heavier' stuff (like some of my Carmen Electra DVD's. I have all 5)

I'm not doing this to get in my best 'sex' shape ever. I'm doing it to get back in shape to get rid of the extra weight I've gained since the accident, boost my self-esteem and confidence, and make myself an all around better person and try to set a good example for my girls.

It's great to hear form you, Lyn!

Keep us posted on how you're doing ... it's that time of year again for many of us to take a fresh look at our exercise regime.

DH and I have been getting a lot of unusual exercise on a project we've been working on. It's not an organized form of exercise, but I'm hearing from muscle groups I had forgotten existed, lol.
