Okay, I won't preach .... but you DO need to eat!

I'm doing pretty good today. Thus far, a small bowl of cereal for breakfast. Getting ready to make a salad for lunch.

Tonight we got out ... I'll probably have a few chicken wings and a salad for dinner. It's the beer that will give me all the calories, LOL.

I am FINALLY back after my 5 days away. Non-stop fun and games and then got a cold on top!

Today was teh first day back to the gym and even though I did a light work out I knew I needed to MOVE. It felt great. I am so glad to be home and not eating every meal out again!

I've been having terrible hungry horrors the last couple of days. But I'm being good. I snack on a serving of unsalted pretzels, and stoned wheat small crackers. Sometimes with a little cheese. It's very frustrating because I've been exercising and eating good and nothing seems to be happening. I stopped a couple of pills last week, so maybe that will help.

Oooops, Good morning....

I know almonds are a great snack .... I have trouble limiting myself, though. Lately, I've been having sunflower nuts as a snack. According to the label, the serving size is huge! I can usually have 1/3 of a serving for a snack and be satisfied with that.

I stuck to a good plan yesterday ... today, I'm starting out good. I had scrambled eggs and a piece of toast for breakfast. For lunch, I'm planning to have the pineapple/cherry yogurt with a glass of OJ. My snack is a nectarine, and if I need something more, it will be the sunflower nuts.

I'm going to fix DH and the kids fish for dinner (which I don't eat). I'll have the salad and steamed veggies for my meal.

I've been checking the scale, and my weight is still fluctuating too much for me to feel that I can change my ticker :( That's a drag ... I might change it to an exercise ticker. I really need to focus more on the exercise than the diet, I think, anyway. For diet, I do believe I need to focus on eating three healthy, smaller meals. I tend to not eat breakfast, so I'm really pushing that, trying to set things up right. It's tough!

Getting rid of those meds will probably make a big difference for you. Don't be so hard on yourself -- you just went through some major body changes, and the surgery. It takes a while for your body to bounce back after something like that. Even though you may think you should be recovered, I'm willing to bet your body is still fighting you on certain things.

You know, I never got all the feeling back in my stomach after my last surgery -- that was a year ago this month! In all honesty, it wasn't until the past couple of months that I felt some of my strength coming back too.

Sounds like you're going to do good with the meals. Keep it up!
