RJJJ,

Kudos on the on the skipping of the cookies. Doesnt; that feel great? That saying "one minute on the lips, forever on the hips", that falshed through my brain when you said you avoided them!

That is such good news about your DW and her surgery. Just think how much you will enjoy going to your grandkids school next week. Yes, i agree, even my sister's kids who are a degree younger than mine, are busier than I could handle! Then again I am one for not overscheduling activities for kids.

I bet you are going to enjoy elementary school. It's always fun to see what they are doing. My youngest took part in a re-enactment at a local one room school house on thursday and loved it. It was fun to see them with their little lunch pails, the boys with their suspenders and the girls with their long skirts and braids. It was so neat. I only got to see it for a few minutes though because of work.

Chocolate chip cookies in the house and you didn't even have one?! You are either super human or completely insane. I honestly don't think

That's a great idea, Liv! Just like when you have a huge mess to deal with, tackle one small part of it at a time. Good thinking!

Love your new ticker, Steve.

Enjoy your bike ride -- that's a great way to help you meet your goal and enjoy the weather!

No cookies ... you ARE good! I don't think I could have resisted them, LOL.

Glad to hear DW's procedure went well. Maybe the two of you will get to celebrate the Buckeye's winning today ....

Liv sounds like it might be a good day for you to kick back and let someone take care of you. Maybe a different kind of couch treats :-)

I know I've been having sneezing fits in the mornings. Everyone is having troubles with allergies and sinuses around here right now. Luckily, it seems once it gets out of my system in the morning, I'm fine for the rest of the day. Hopefully you're feeling better as the day progresses also.

Enjoy seeing DS!!!

I went for a 10 mile out-and-back ride through the woods and around the ponds in the neighboring town. I didn't want to push it too much on my first time in the saddle in a month. It's a beautiful fall day, sunny with bright blue skies and temperatures in the mid 60's. The foliage is within days of peaking. All in all, it was absolutely glorious.
