Geesh! Another thread that everyone is getting talky on, I love it! All but the fact that I am 65 (!!!!!!) posts behind.
I did work out twice this week and plan to hit my 3rd adn 4th this weekend if all goes as planned. Went to get a few more gym appropriate shirts and so that I plunked down 75 more dollars into the economy to help me look cute while sweating, I have to use them! (a great sale and mananged to get a lot for that).
I have noticed so many of you have been hitting your goals and even are bumping them up a notch! Some have slipped but keep going!
I have been working the cardio but still lax on the toning so I am shooting for squeezing in an exercise class or two this next week. If I can get that on a regular basis I will be a happy camper.
I was just wondering about Lyn too. Maybe her hubby's been keeping her busy since he got home.
Could you share whatever exercises you have success with in lifting the breasts (and hopefully reducing their size)? I never had any luck with that, so I gave up on it. But I'm willing to try again if anyone can recommend something that works.
Good for you with the stretching and weight work. I need to do more of that myself.

Hi Em,
Interesting concept...my BIL suffers from an inherited anemia and if he doesn't take iron supplements he can have a dangerously low hemoglobin - requiring blood transfusion.
Yes, RJJJ, I was the one who recommended more warm-up and stretching. However, I can't help you with the specifics, because those are areas I'm lacking in myself. I'll defer to someone who is more knowledgeable about those things.
BTW, I did 20 minutes on the elliptical yesterday, plus 25 on the stationary bike and 45 on the treadmill (about a quarter of that at a 15% incline but only 2.4 mph so it didn't hurt my ankle). It was kind of a cardio-heavy day.

Of course spinach pie causes insomnia! Especially if you eat an orange along with it, since Vitamin C boosts iron absorption.
Men are doubly afflicted. Not only do they have huge amounts of iron coursing through their veins, keeping them energized and wide awake, but they lie there marveling over their Popeye-like forearms!

Hi there Liv!
I'm up to 20 minutes on the elliptical. I figured out that if I start on it instead of saving it for last because it's so dreaded, it goes much better.
My workouts have been pretty cardio-heavy too. I sneak in a little toning each time by doing the Pilates "scoop" maneuver while I'm on the treadmill. You're supposed to imagine pulling your abdomen toward your back, so basically you're contracting your lower abdominal muscles the entire time. It takes a fair amount of concentration to do consistently and correctly, and I have the best luck with it on the treadmill (which is one reason it's still my favorite machine). Oh, and another thing -- I often use my SmartBalls while at the gym. They provide a different kind of toning than you were referring to, but important nonetheless. ;-)
