I think it's great you're sharing that sort of thing. I know when you keep track, it's easier to see where you're really at. I have no idea about calories in food because I've never kept track before.
I know I already blew it for today :(
My dad took me out to lunch .... what's a girl to do?
I had a calorie laden shrimp salad sandwich on a potato bun, a side of slaw and a soda (YIKES). I really have to start ordering water when I'm out, and the shrimp salad may not have been so bad without the bun.
It's tossed salad tonight for dinner for me.

RJJJ, it's definitely the kind of stuff you should be sharing! It helps you stay accountable for what you've been eating and your exercise!
It sounds like you have already had quite the day and I am very proud of you for all you've done! Wait til I post what I haven't done. You will be feeling like you've conquered the world! (It won't be negative but it might make me look a little lazy)
Keep up the awesome work! I just hope your wife will make you something yummy and nutritious. Somehow, I know she will!

Gerry you are starting at a very good place! I know that as long as you follow your diet and exercise regularly you will be amazed at how well things go and how soon you start feeling great!
I take it the doc knows what your starting and that is awesome! If you lose enough weight you might want to consult a dietician to see what they think as to where your carbs need to be in relation to your blood sugars and weight.
