I have been shaving down there for years and don't mind the grow back. I shave every other day and it isn't a pain for me, now that i am use to it. Everyone get's use to it. I feel so much cleaner shaved. I love it. i don't nair or wax because you have to have your hair grow almost all the way back before doing it again. And i don't want that so i shave. Just shave in the direction that your hair grows. Use something like a mans razor, with a piviting head, their better. use lots of shave cream. Don't be rough either, be very gentle because you don't want bumps.

Good luck

Hope this helps, i know he'll love it.

Also, if you do get those little bumps, which can be a pain, go buy Bikini Zone. It's a gel that you can rub on the whole area that is bumpy. It can be bought at any drug store or grocery store near the shaving stuff. It helps relieve the bumpiness so it's smooth again and not so itchy. I love it. I no longer need it because I've shaved for a while, but when I first decided to groom it bare or even Brazilian, I had bumps for a while. Of course, I doubt DH will notice those much since he's been away, but it's nice to try to keep them away if you can.

i have tried the Bikini Zone but it didnt work for me. i put on coca butter lotion or a moisturizer lotion. i dont have np with itching or bumps. i shave every 3 days. use a new razor every 3 times. remember short stokes. oh ah i forgot. it helps to sit in a tub full of warm water to soak. the hair will get softer and will be easier to shave. I have very fine red pubic hair. I've never had to do anything other than touch up abit befor bikini season, so I'm no expert. My BF did ask me to shave it once (didn't beleive I didn't shave) and I told HIM to do it. We started a shaving thing, for a couple of years, it it was a pretty kinky sort of foreplay for us both. We no longer do it, because it took about a year, to grow back in...just a kinky thing to do in any case. Point....

You might let HIM shave you, and let that develope into something you can use for foreplay.. Worked for us.

The shaving I think is better than waxing but the shaving depending on the razor try to get a sensitive razor because men break out with dark bumps and hair there is just like hair on your face and be careful on shaving. If you can stand the waxing down there power to you ,I know when I get my eyebrows done you have to prepare yourself before the person pull that paper off.I think he would be happy if this is your first time shaving and it depends on the man, most brothers don't care, but men of another race may ? that and might pull away. You have to remember too hair carries sweat and smell just like hair under your arms,I keep my armpit shave.Good luck and have fun.

good tips from all. i've been shaving for a few years. i've gotten to the point where shaving it all just looks childish. i know that some guys find the 'landing strip' hot too..any suggestions from other 'shavers'? do you take it all off? what feels sexier or looks better??

I may be 'dating' myself............

but when did this 'shaving' fad begin...??

I'm a mature male and I'm no Don Juan either, but I've never been with a shaved woman. I've seen photos and movies with clean shaven ladies and must say that it doesn't appeal to me,.....at all.

I much prefer the natural hirsute look. Ultra-thin, clean shaven ladies somehow just don't "Turn-my Crank". I like a little meat on their bones and ..........hair..!!

The all-bare fad isn't that old....probably started about the time the thong bikini became so popular! Swimsuits and clothing in general are so skimpy now, that well, you couldn't go out in public without shaving. However, I've been trimming my bikini line since I was a teenager. It's necessary in the summer. Many men feel as you do though...natural is better. My DH prefers neatly trimmed.

>>The all-bare fad isn't that old....<<

If my Playboy collection is anything to go by it started back about the mid-90's with trimming short and has in recent years progressed to (drum-roll, please...) "THE BRAZILAN" where everything is waxed off. I suspect that the lack of clothing that seems to be the fashion in recent years has had something to do with it too.

If I'm not mistaken the Ancient Egyptians did it (I have no idea where I heard that one.)

It's just a fad. Sooner or later the more natural hirsute look will come back in; and go out again. Swings and round-abouts, that's all it is.
