Hello,
I'm Maiju from Finland. I have a question.

Anyway, DO NOT USE oil-based lubricants with a condom. This means no Vaseline, hand lotion, or baby oil, they can create holes in latex. Water based lubricants such as KY jelly are what you use. KY comes in a cheaper generic form at most drug stores.

I put hand lotion (nivea) on my hands to rub my boyfriend, when he became hard THEN he put a condom on. Since I applied lotion (nivea cream) to his penis before can that create holes?
~Maiju
so recap: no condom, soft penis, hand lotion, hard penis, condom, then ky....bad ?? good??
i know that u have nivea in usa and canada cuz i lived both those places.

I don't know what is in Nivea, but I don't think it's a petroleum based lotion. But, there are chemicals in "body lotions" meant for "moisturizing" that aren't good for the tender skin on a penis. Some have alcohol in them.....OUCH.

Petroleum based means something like Vaseline. It's sticky, and slippery and many people use it for sexual lubrication. THAT is what will destroy the latex of a condom. It's also bad for your vagina.....because it's so gooey, and impervious to water based things like your own natural lubrication, that the natural cleansing action of your vagina will not be able to "wash out" the Vaseline.

I had proof of what petroleum based products will do to latex. I got tar on my car, and I wanted to clean it off. A friend told me that gasoline would take it off. I knew that it would liquify, and it would get on my hands, and be very hard to get off. I had some medical latex gloves, and decided to wear them to protect my hands. Within one minute of starting, the gasoline had eaten away the tips of all the fingers of the gloves! It doesn't create "holes", it absolutely dissolves the latex!

I'd stay away from the penis with the Nivea in future massages. If you need lubrication for that part of the massage, use KY or Astroglide, or even some saliva. If you can't buy those things in Finland, you can get them on the internet.

PS: Also, it's not a good idea to lubricate the penis with anything before using a condom, simply because that might cause it to slip off!

Nivea is a hand and body lotion. It's NOT a sexual lubricant.

But putting Nivea ON his penis before the condom can still deteriorate the condom.
