recently my b friend bought me some sex toys. he used them on me 2 times & i used them on myself once. we washed them with h2o each time, but after the last time we used them i developed a badder infection. we have not had actual intercourse in a month because of meds he is on so i'm pretty sure that it is not a std & the symptoms are more of a bladder infection. the only thing i can think of is not properly cleansing the toys. can anyone please tell me any tips to properly clean those items?

I doubt if you're getting a bladder infection from "toys". Are you sure it's a bladder infection? It could just be "cystitis" which is an irritation of the urethra, not an infection. It can come from too much rubbing in the area, either with his hand, or during intercourse.

As for STD's.......it doesn't matter what medication he's on, that's not going to give you a bladder infection, and if you think he MIGHT have STD's, then he should be treated specifically for them.

If you think you have a bladder infection, which could have come from anything, not only sex, then you should see your doctor to get it properly diagnosed and treated.

As for washing the toys, unless you or he are sharing them with multiple partners, soap and water should keep them clean. You could also wipe them down with alcohol to be sure.

If you have something going on that could possibly be an infection, STD

We just use anti-bacterial soap and hot (not boiling) water.
