my boyfriend has always wanted to have sex in the shower... i've never really wanted to do this it just seems really hard with our shower but our anniversary is coming up and i want to surprise him with the change up in our sex lives. i've recently stopped taking birth control so we are using condoms everytime we have sex. is it okay for him to wear a condom in the shower or will we risk the chance of pg. any help or advice would be great i really don't know what to do and i want to do this for him.

Sure you can use a condom in the shower. As long as it's pointed UP, then there won't be any chance of water getting into it and slipping off. I would suggest putting it on BEFORE turning the water on. Maybe get started somewhere other than the shower and then move to the shower for intercourse.
And just in case, you might consider using one with a spermicide or adding a spermicide.
Be VERY careful in the shower though....you could slip and fall right through the door or against the tiles....so either put a rubber matt down beforehand or at least a towel to give you better footing.
Just as an FYI.....the heat from a shower is no warmer than the heat inside the vagina, theoretically 98.6 degrees.
You're correct about a condom being carried in a wallet....but it's more from the movement and abrasion, over a LONG period of time that will destroy it. Where heat comes into play is that some guys will carry them in the glove compartment of their car, and THAT heat can reach over 120 degrees on hot summer days, and day after day of that will ruin them.
Soap, shampoos, etc. will not break down a latex condom, and it's doubtful anyway that two people in a shower bent on sex are going to be doing much washing or shampooing.
The biggest problem will be "safety".....a small confined space, and the possibility of slipping or falling.
and I worked for a company who tested condoms

I know this is a bit off the topic at hand, but I had a question about the above statement. My hot water heater is set at 110 degrees. Does that not mean that if I take a shower with only hot water, as I typically do, water temperature reaches 110 degrees?

Well, It may or may not have been heated to exactly 110 degrees in the hotwater cylinder, and I suppose the water will cool down a couple of degrees as it travels along the pipes to the shower, and then it'll loose a degree or two as it jets out of the shower head and towards you, but generally speaking, yeah, it'll be close to 110 degrees.
