How can I tell him it's no big deal?

My boyfriend and I have sex during my period because it doesn't bother me and I think it still feels great. I'm on birth control, so my period is really regular and light. I rarely get much, if any, blood on my boyfriend or the towel that we put down just in case. The first time my boyfriend saw any blood, he got really upset and insisted that he must have hurt me, and that I should have told him because he would have stopped. I told him that he didn't hurt me, and that the bleeding is just from my period, not from anything that he did. How can I convince him that a little blood is no big deal and that he's not hurting me at all?

He has to learn about the female body and how it works.

Doesn't he understand what happens when a woman is on her period? How old is he?

My boyfriend is 23. I think that he understands what happens when a girl is on her period, but maybe I should talk to him about it.

I've asked him if he feels uncomfortable having sex during my period, and he says no, that he just wants to make sure that I'm not hurting.

Yep. I would talk to him about it. He sounds confused.

Okay, I'll talk to him about it.
