Most of the time sex..the actual penetration..lasts about a minute and sometimes it drives me crazy
When people say they have sex for an hour..or even ten minutes haha..is it actual intercourse or does that include foreplay???

Very few guys can last for an hour of intercourse, and very few women would even want that.....you'd get pretty sore!

Why does it drive YOU crazy? It probably doesn't make your partner very happy, either! He CAN train himself to last longer with the "stop & start" method, but that takes time and practice.

As for you, if you're getting enough foreplay, and you're being satisfied during foreplay, it shouldn't be making you crazy. Most women (80+%) don't have orgasms from intercourse anyway......yes, we enjoy it, but without additional clitoral stimulation, it doesn't happen....that's why women need foreplay, to get theirs first, then move on to intercourse which is what gets most guys off.....then everyone is happy. I'm sure he's not happy with what's happening either.

You didn't say how long you've been together. Many times in a new relationship, it's just nervousness, and will improve with time as he gets more comfortable with you.

Is he young? From my experience, the older men become, the longer they can last. The flip side of that is the younger a guy is, the quicker he can recover from ejaculation. If he is cumming so quickly, perhaps there is too much foreplay for him. If he is overly aroused, he's looking to cross the finish line. Have him cool his jets a bit prior to penetration, and it should last a bit longer (as he will have to build the arousal up again).

Also, if he does cum so quickly, once he recovers, he should be able to last much longer. If he invest the energy to keep you aroused during the recovery process, you will probably find that the second (or more) penetration will last longer.

hiya hunt4o, I know we normally speak in generalities here. It is a fact that many men will lose some of their abilities to get an erection or regain an erection for round #2. However there are some of us who have the same abilities as we had in our 20`s. Honestly I have noticed no difference as I have gotten older (53)I do last longer than before, but I get an erection very quickly and most of the time I can go right away for round two, sometimes never even having to stop at all. I agree with you on how a younger guy with staying problems can learn to deal with it. You are also right that round two can last way longer than round one for most men.

I too am like humpdaddy. My first time having sex I lasted all of 2 seconds before I exploded, but recovery time was 0. I am now 48 and round 1 can last about 10 min. round 2 and 3 takes longer and longer with little to no recovery time.

My DH actually has had problems with ED, and can still have problems because he takes beta blockers. Since my libido has gone so crazy, he's getting lots of attention, and we are finding that he can both last longer and get another erection fairly quickly. (Like you said, sometimes it's like he doesn't have to stop at all.) He hasn't been as good about taking his beta blockers lately, so that also contributes. When he takes beta blockers regularly, he is more likely to need help (Viagra), which is all good too! Not that this story is overly relevant to the topic, but my DH just turned 54. It's good to know that things can get better with age too -- when I was younger, you could have never convinced me of that!!!

He's actually in really good shape. He probably walks more than any one you know during his normal day, and eats fairly healthily. He doesn't exercise per se anymore, and may be 10 - 15 lbs. overweight, but generally, in good shape.

What about the people who say they have sex all night!? My bf can only get it up about 3 times in the night, and one in the morning. Is that normal?

that is not the norm. my H has been able to hold off for as long as 1/2 hour or more.if you are talking about a young man, even then he should be able to last more than a minute inside.
