Okay, who's feeling jolly, and who isn't?

I thought it would be great to have a thread during this especially stressful, yet jolly, season where anyone could come to vent or just chat.

I'm feeling a bit stressed out today. I have a short list of gifts that I have decided on, and a long list of gifts that I still need to discover. My decorations are all still in the attic, my cookies need baked, and I need to think about holiday cards. My get up and go seems to have got up and went when it comes to Christmas this year.

Typically, I'm glowing by this time. Have most of my shopping done, set my Christmas music on and go about baking and decorating. The thought of even listening to Christmas music is making me fidgety.

I'm hoping for a better outlook tomorrow.

Okay, I'll add that in some countries, it's no longer politically correct to say Ho, Ho, Ho. Hmmmm, puzzling, but if I've offended anyone, Ha, Ha, Ha!

Okay .... I went shopping for a while today.

They were playing Christmas music in the store, it wasn't too bad ....

I got some new lingerie for myself which I had been searching some time for!

That greatly improved my mood!

Then I went to Yankee Candles and started sniffing all the holiday scents ....

I survived.

I got my mom a birthday present, lol.

I got in my car, and drove to the other side of the mall.

I went in and had some pizza for lunch.

I think the carbs zapped my energy!

I went in some other stores,

I couldn't find anything to buy.

I went in the toy store,

I found great sales, and coupons and freebies if you bought this or that!

I conquered a couple of things on my list!

You crack me up...

I actually did encounter a grumpy greeter once, but didn't say anything of course. I did speak up when a woman leaving a store was *unbelievably* rude to the young lady who asked to see a receipt for the three large, unmarked items she was wheeling out in her cart. Grrr.

I may be about to turn the corner on this "holiday spirit" business myself.

I also went shopping today and got gift baskets for all the neighbors. This is something we usually put off until the last possible moment, so I actually feel like I've got a jump on one part of the holiday preparations. (Yeah, I know all the rest are still in complete disarray, but still...)

Well, I'm nearly done shopping (just have MIL, FIL, BIL and dh's uncle left--but they are usually tough to buy for anyway). I always look forward to wrapping presents. Don't know why, but I love wrapping.

As for decorations, we put up the tree and wreaths on the windows on Black Friday. Dh needs to put the lights and bead garland on the tree before I have the kids help me put ornaments on. I usually get each of the kids an ornament for the tree each year--this year I had them pick their ornament (Karl- The Millenium Falcon; Kevin- Captian Jack Sparrow; and Sarah - Cinderella). THis is par for the course though. After dh puts the lights and beads on, he is done. I spend a few weeks getting out boxes of ornaments, wall hangings, nativity sets and cleaning everything.

One thing that excites me this year is that Lenox is retiring there entire China Jewels Nativity set, and I finally got the last 3 pieces for it! It's the highlight of my decorating. I also have a

Shouldn't you be sending this mistletoe post to one of the ladies and not me?
