Ok this is a little personal but i have a 8 day old baby it is our 3rd and my husband has held out on sex for quite a while like for months and since i have had the baby i have felt great and i wanted to please him my question is this i am nursing my baby it is the first time ihave nursed any of my kids so i am clueless but can semen be transferred through your breast milk???? i really don't want to call my doctor im to embarassed and since none of you know me i would appreciate your information on that thank you sorry if it is too gross!!!

No. No way. Not going to happen.

I'm not sure about having sex so soon after giving birth (I'm sure that some of the other mothers around here might be able to enlighten us). I myself would probably check that out with the Doctor. Just to make sure that everything is OK and that the Doctor gives you the go ahead to resume normal sexual activity.

I'm thinking not. However you should be aware that breastfeeding does affect your menstrual cycle and some females feel if there's no period there's no chance of getting pregnant. Wrong! So unless you want baby #4, be sure to use protection. A former boss of mine has two kids 51 weeks apart because of this lack of knowledge. Within two weeks of returning from maternity leave, she announces that she's pregnant again.

If you're talking about intercourse, you shouldn't have IC until you've had your postnatal checkup and the doctor gives you the okay to have sex.
