OK, i just broke up (1 1/2 to 2 weeks ago) with my boyfriend, who also happened to be the first guy I majorly fooled around and had sex with. After having sex with him the first time, it became a regular thing and I LOVED IT! Now, since we broke up (no hard feelings, and no regrets), I keep thinking about sex (with him). Is this normal? I mean, I am soooo preoccupied with sexual fantasies about this guy. I do find myself 'craving' the other types physical contact we had (hugging, kissing, cuddling) but I REALLY miss the sex. I'm only 19 and I feel like some pushing-thirty character off of a sitcom! AND, I'm afraid I won't be able to control myself around the next guy who comes along and can 'ring my bells' and end up with a rep. Maybe I'm just being paranoid... but I am so (sexualy) frustrated!!!
Did anyone else feel like this when they were new to sex?

I think you have a couple of issues that are contributing to your major craving for sex.

Thanks jilly. You're right, I REALLY need to be careful about getting into another relationship, since right now, I think it would be more about filling this fresh void-- which is the WRONG reason for getting involved with someone. And there's no way I'd take my chances with casual sex, I know I would end up really hurt (I just have to keep telling myself that.)
And WOW, crazy sex drive well into your 30's: THAT'S AWESOME!! I hope I have that to look forward to. Girls my age don't freely discuss their sexual appetites so I was a little convinced I was on my own on this one-- i know i know, how dramatic of me, lol.
(I now think this is more of a 'break-up' issue than just about sex.)
thanks

Sex just isn't discussed by women in my culture; it's 2005, and yet neither of them would admit to have had or be having sex (AND they are all married and have kids, LOL.) And tv doesn't help either; all the married men have to practically BEG for sex, which I can't understand. There are way too many stereotypes, and even though I never once thought that 'sex ends after 40,' it just never occured to me that a lot of women have big sexual appetites. It's natural, and now I can't wait to get married AND get the kids out of the house, be in my late forties/fifties, and have an exciting sex life with someone I love! (OK, i'm getting a little ahead of myself here, but I'm just excited over these revalations)
This board is GREAT!!

LOL, don't worry Tish, I was just kidding!
I'm 19 years old. My background is Indian. (Have you ever seen BEND IT LIKE BECKHAM? Well, that's my culture/religion right there- SIKH). Sex is SOOO taboo that my grandmother considers it to be 'dirty.' Its very odd, even my mom can't over granny thinking like that. If anyone in my family ever found out that I have had sex and GASP!! enjoyed it very much, I don't know what would happen. (That's actually why I broke up with my bf: my aunt found out about him (he was 24 and white) and she threatened to tell my parents. I'm just not in the position right now to put up a fight since I'm in school and live at home. It's all very complicated) Yea, it sucks. I just wish he and I were more serious before anyone found out....

What culture is that? Just curious.
I thought that sex was pretty much discussed among women of all cultures, albeit quietly and privately in some. I can't imagine a culture where women *don't* discuss at least some aspect of sex!
