Thank you No Dead Yet, it is a relief to know that is illegal to have sex with animals of any weight in WA.
As for the other laws in other states, we should ask for volunteers to test the bounds.

I know the same info (about the animals in Washington state) was listed previously in one of the "Sexpert" columns on Fox. (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,351636,00.html)
It's good to know that if that ever was a law, it's been overturned.

It's never been a law; it's an Internet rumor run amok, and it's disgraceful that a so-called journalist was propagating it.
If anything, authorities would have been more likely to file animal cruelty charges if the sex involved a smaller animal. (Under 40 pounds?! Think about it.)
