Instead Cup!!!!

Alright....it is my 18th birthday this Friday, and my boyfriend has rented me and him a jacuzzi (sp?) suite at a hotel!!! It's just one of the wonderful things he has planned for me that day.
My problem is, Friday the 10th just happens to be the first day of my period (cries..)
and I BELIEVE that making love is one of the special things he had planned.
The deal is, I just ordered a box of the instead cups online, and was wondering if, as far as sex is concerned, are there any positions that you're limited to? How much of a chance that it will break? Leak? Anyone have any suggestions or advice about this product? I want to make sure that I use them correctly so I can have a wonderful evening with my boyfriend :o) Thank you!

Does anyone here have experience with this product? I'm terrified of it breaking or falling out during sex. Does anyone know if that could happen?

Thats all I ever use anymore for that time of the month, and my husband and I don't abstain from sexual relations anymore during that time.Aside from limited positions,I don't think there are any...though I've always tried to not be on top during my period.Just make sure you insert it right beforehand, because the longer you keep it in,the more it will fill up and possibly leak.As far as tearing or breaking, they are pretty sturdy.

Also, like the poster above said...they are NOT a contraceptive, and if you are uncertain as to when exactly you ovulate, you need to use a form of birthcontrol.Of course,it also doesn't protect you from STD's...so condoms would be good as well.

I know they're not a form of birthcontrol, I just recently heard about them as a way to have sex while you're on your period. Would being on top be a bad choice while using the instead cup? We usually have sex with me on top...should we avoid that?

I have another question for you as someone who's used them. Did your partner ever feel the cup inside of you? Does it matter what size your partner is to know if he'd feel it?

(thanks for your replies!)

As to your first question,no,I don't think it would matter being on top.For me,I just feel uncomfortable. As far as my husband feeling it...yes,he can feel it.It doesn't bother him though, and as long as it's inserted correctly,it shouldn't bother you either.

Ive used it once and will never use it again. My boyfriend and I used it about a year ago when I was on my period and he could feel it. He wasn't able to get comfortable and in me as far as he could without it in. We haven't used it since. He doesn't mind that its a little messy. But as far as your question about size, I think it does matter, my boyfriend is very well endowed and it just didnt work.
