Whereas I'd prefer to have at least 20 seconds to have my orgasm, literally catch my breath and enjoy the warm fuzzies for another 30 seconds or so, roll over, off or whatever. THEN we can start talking about it

My DH is not capable of communication during those final moments. LOL. In fact...he often needs more time to recover and catch his breath than I do. I am perfectly content to lay there with him and be "in the moment" ...if you will.

The last thing I want to do is talk....

I just didn't want to offend you, if your writing style didn't reflect your feelings. I know some people can be very serious and take things really personally, that's why I wanted to clarify.

But yea, I have come to realize that things don't always go perfectly and as planned sometimes, and you just have to laugh about it. I was talking to my bf a while back and I said to him "If I was trying something new and I messed up, you wouldn't laugh at me would you" and he said if it was funny he would laugh but it wouldn't be "at me". I was really scared, but after a while I learned how to be really comfortable and not take things so seriously. We just have fun and be silly now. It's really nice.

I guess I've learned a lot from him (and I would like to think that he's learned from me). I've done a lot of "growing up" while with him.

Diana,

Been with Dh for 28 years married for 24 of those.

I am a heavy breather when in the throes of orgasm myself and dh has told me to try to be quieter because of the kids. I don't moan too load or scream unless I know we are alone ;) BUT it is hard to hold back on the breathing part when you are THERE>

I don't think my BLOWING drives dh crazy but then again, LOL

One thing that drives me crazy is that DH has to sleep ON ME> seriously, no matter what size bed we are in, king or single, he has to be RIGHT ON ME> if I get up to go to the bathroom I come back and he is right where I need to get back into bed. SO many times I have to tell him I am about to fall out of bed or literally push him over. Now he is 220 pounds and I am 110, so get a visual!!!

Hubby has invaded my sleeping space from time-to-time, and like you, I have had to tell him I'm about to fall out of bed. Luckily, he doesn't mind be woken up and told to roll over

I also have to do that when he's snoring ....

Suki,

DH uses the excuse that I am so warm and he is so cold. Must be the premenapausal hot flashes! Have you tried hopping into bed first and plunking yourself in the middle to start the night? SOME times that helps!

Well, I will have to give that a try. This morning was another, "Baby, I'm falling off the bed," morning. hehe
