Ok. Really REALLY embaressing question here! Is it possible to urinate during an orgasm/sex? At first I thought it was sweat, then I started smelling urine... And when we were done the sheets were soaked. I ended up changing them. My boyfriend said girls can ejaculate if they have a really deep orgasm... and was very proud of himself. Maybe... but unfortunately, i don't think that was the case last night, and

Misty,

Maybe I was not clear in what I wrote. I do not disagree that FE exhists. I don't think that I said that. What I was saying is that I don't know if it is impossible to urinate while having sex.

you said, <>

The contrary to the belief that FE does not exhist? I'm sure that's true. Like I said, I never said that I think it doesn't exhist.

Or the contrary that a woman can urinate during sex? Also, I would really like to know if that is true.

The PP that I was replying to stated that there is a sphincter that closes the urethra when a woman is having sex and therefore it is impossible for her to urinate during sex. I could not find any information on THAT...not that FE exhists.

This is an embarrassing issue for me. I was trying to write in a way that did not disclose personal information about me. I truly wanted to know from the PP where I could find the information on that because it would really help me to knoe that. I'm only 26 and after having two tramatic births I have issue with urine incontinence. It's embarrassing, I hate it. I just wanted to know if I could remove my fears of this at least during sex...it would really help me.

unless you posted that to the wrong person. I'm actually kind of confused that it was a reply to me because I didn't say anything about FE not exhisting.

Thanks,

Maggie

Hi Maggie,

In your post, you listed a couple of sources as reference to places you found that report the possibility of leaking urine during sex. In the first link you gave, the article was making a statement that there is no such thing as FE ... that it was actually urine.

It didn't seem to me that they were trying to prove that women can urinate during sex .... it seemed to me as if they were trying to prove that FE doesn't exist -- that it's actually urine.

That's what I was responding to. I didn't read the second article, but wanted to point out that I wasn't buying what the first article was pushing.

I don't know if it's impossible to urinate during sex, but I wouldn't take the word of a reference that is saying it is possible when that same site is trying to report that FE is actually urine.

A few years ago, I was having some problems with urinary incontinence related to child birth and health issues. I had problems for several years, and I never had any problems during sex. I know that doesn't give you the answer you're looking for, but perhaps others will share their experiences too.

Dear Laura,

thank you so much for your sensitivity on this issue. I really appreciate that.

i have done kegels and it has not helped. I have learned that there are mainly 2 kinds of incontinence and what you described is "stress incontinece" - from sneezing or coughing or things like that.

I do not have leaking during those times. Mine is, well, I forget what it's called actually. It's just kind of random, like all of a sudden I will feel the urge to need to go...oh that's right it's called "urge incontinence". anyway...well I have to run to the bathroom about 20 times a day and it's often not quick enough....too bad. But kegels don't help this kind of incontinence. I really probably need medication.

It's just frusttrating because it can happen at any time.

I just remembered .... we have a relatively new message board in the village. It's called Incontinence: Ask the Expert. This is a moderated board – questions will go into a queue and will be answered by a panel of experts.

The experts will only be there for a limited time, so you may want to visit today and see if you can get any of your questions answered by them.
