Over on the **1,000 Nights of Great Sex** thread, we started a little "Pouters Club", and some of us have decided we should have a party tonight. (ETA: We now have our own clubhouse, and the party never ends! Everyone's invivted, so feel free to join in anytime!)Kristi designed the mascot ....

I think everyone in the club is aware, but if not I'll explain, the reason it's only ever a weekend occurrence for us is that DH travels full time for work. And I can't really be upset at him for not being in the mood so much lately because he's been sick and stressed out over some family problems in his family. But I can still be frustrated!

No need to feel you have to rationalize your deserving to feel frustrated. We all have our "reasons" some may make sense to some and not to others but it is what make You feel frustrated...that is why it feels good to vent.
Ok does my counseling background come through here???

Well, DH has this long weekend and everyone is making sure we don't get to spend any of it alone!!
Hmmmm, hubby started his day with a dental appointment. My dad called 3 times and stopped by. My oldest son came home from school sick (okay, I guess I shouldn't feel bad for myself in this case). My brother called, now hubby is out getting auto parts. The school bus for my youngest son is ready to roll up. All of hubbies friends want to golf (everyday) this weekend. We haven't begun to decorate for Christmas. Yadda, yadda, yadda.
Whew -- it does feel good to get that off my chest!
Christmas cookies, anyone?
Did I mention I had to go grocery shopping too?

Thanks, Liv! I do sometimes feel like I have no right to complain about anything in my life because in reality it's pretty darned great compared to many.
DD just earned a bachelor's degree in psychology last spring, and is now enrolled in a master's program in experimental psych. Eventually she wants to go into neuropsychology. It's funny because she can tell you the physiological reason for feeling whatever you're feeling, but she steered far around the counseling track so she really has no idea how to deal with those feelings.
So, yeah, it's nice to get feedback from somebody who does.

Steamers anyone?
This is what's for dinner at our house tonight! Hopefully after feasting on these babies, I'll be dropping out of the club for a few hours ;-)
(But feel free to throw some on the seafood bar!)

I'd love to join you all for beer and crab legs, but I'll pass on the steamers. I've never been able to stand the texture of clams, oysters
LOL, thanks, Steve. That looks like it will hit the spot nicely!
Do you have any special plans for the weekend?
