Over on the **1,000 Nights of Great Sex** thread, we started a little "Pouters Club", and some of us have decided we should have a party tonight. (ETA: We now have our own clubhouse, and the party never ends! Everyone's invivted, so feel free to join in anytime!)

Kristi designed the mascot ....

First of all, congrats to your DH for the weight loss! That cannot have been easy.

My DH was a competitive runner until his doctor ordered him to stop a few years ago because of arthritis in his hips. After that, he put on about 35 pounds but has since lost 10. It's really difficult for him because he was always the guy who could eat anything he wanted and not gain an ounce -- and he's not that guy anymore!

I don't know how you do that elliptical machine! I do 50 minutes brisk walking on the treadmill, most of it at an 8-12% incline, plus another 20 minutes on the stationary bike five days a week -- but I swear I can barely

I do 2 - 30 minute sessions on the elliptical 3 times a week.

I used to be that guy once too -- getting older is not exactly the most fun process under the sun. Then again, it definitely beats the alternatives.

All right, I'm going to give the elliptical another try today! It's been quite a while since I made an attempt at it. It just seemed...awkward, somehow. I couldn't get into a good rhythm and felt like a complete doofus with all the herky-jerky movements.

Hmmm...I realize that last sentence could be used to describe something other than an encounter with an elliptical machine!

We've definitely decided that getting old ain't for sissies, Steve. We tend to spend a good bit of time comparing our aches and pains, LOL.
