Lactating, am I pregnant?
| Sat, 04-09-2005 - 12:16am |
My boyfriend and i were having sex about 2 weeks ago or so. He started feeling my breasts and out of nowhere he came out and said 'youre lactating, you might be pregnant'. i didnt believe him so he squeezed my right breast and i did start to lactate. Does that mean that i might be pregnant? I also have a few symtoms of pregnancy: missed period 2 weeks now, feeling nausious, nipples are sensitive, urinating frequently, and feel more tired... I did take a pregnancy test at this clinic where i live on Monday, it came back negative. So they told me to come back in a week b/c the HCG hormone might not be in my system yet or may not be high enough to tell. please give me some info on what you guys things.. Thanks!

I don't really know much about pregnancy, as I have never been pregnant, but I hope everything turns out okay for you. Let us know!

You say that you haven't got your period but you are spotting pink and brown. To me, it sounds like that is your period. No matter what colour, if you have a pink discharge it means that it is your period. Sometimes it happens to me, I can get just few pink drops during my period which means that I can only wear a pantyliner for two days and that's it.
It might happen because of stress or just because of an hormonal unbalanced.

As for the pain in the breast, mine was just a dull ache. But, not everyone is the the same. But, sometimes, the body does trick itself into thinking its pregnant.
I've never heard of pain on one side of the abdomen as part of pregnancy. I had cramps like I was going to have my period. I've never heard/read of pain on just one side..Again, if the blood test comes back negative, I strongly recommend a doctor. A delayed period can be for many reasons, too..Stress, hormonal imbalance, birth control, disease, illness...Pregnancy isn't the only cause, the one good cause.
The spotting issue is an issue with many causes..Some women spot during the beginnings of pregnancy..I personally didn't, but its been known. Some women have their periods for months before they know they're pregnant. Every woman is different, thus every woman's body is different from the other's. Who's to say what's going on, but I think she's worrying herself way too much over the pregnancy thing.
Hey that just made me think of something:
>Some women have their periods for months before they know they're pregnant.<
Could that be because some women are double egg releasers, so during one month a woman releases 2 eggs instead of one, one becomes attached thus pregnancy occurs, but in the following months the other egg is still being released? just came to mind.
i'm just curious b/c my friend is pregnant and although i SWEAR i remember her saying that she ran out of pills and didn't get another script but they also weren't using condoms when she was done all of her packs b/c "they didn't like the feeling" but a few months ago i asked her about it and she said she WAS in fact on the pill but the dr told her shes a double egg releaser so she would have had to been on the strongest pill out there or use a backup w/ the pack she had.
i dont know sounds fishy to me...but i swear swear swear she said she was off...and she was late that month she told me, then 2 months later she said she was prego. oh ya and shes now due in june-ish.
