Your impressions so far of the differences between digital and film photography? More specifically, although they're obviously different media with different characteristics, and you're still in the process of getting used to the digital medium, have you been surprised yet at finding something digital is better suited for than film, that you hadn't expected?
You and I are having that lunch in Paris that we talked about recently. What are we dining on, and what are we having to drink with it?
You get to choose a 3rd person to join us for lunch. It can be anyone: a celebrity, a board friend, someone you want to introduce me to. Whom are we dining with, and what influenced your selection?
I'd ask what you're wearing, but I think I already know the answer to that, so here's a softball question instead. How much do you love your new corset?
Another photography question. You're preparing for a photo shoot of a nude male model who's caged. Would your approach to the shoot be different than with an uncaged male model, and if so in what way?
Have you shared (or are you going to share) our story on the FB with DH?
Cheers/A+
2-What is the last book you read?Last book I read was *The Hammer of Eden*, a piece of real rubbish. Last GOOD book I read was *The Wind-up Bird Chronicle*, by Haruki Murakami. Much better, IMO.
3-How often do you give your DH oral? Not as often as I would like, it isn't his preferred act.
4-Do you swallow?Given the chance, yes. ;-)
5-Where do you live?In a good sized city in the French Alps.
6-How old were you when you got married?32
7-What your favorite thing to take pictures of?Misty asked that, too, I'll send you scuttling back up to my answer to her. ;-)
8-How old are you?52
9-Favorite food?Mmmmm, it is tough to just chose one, I have many. But if I say pasta, that covers an infinite number of variations, so pasta it is.
10-What kind of car do you drive? We have a VW Golf, but I don't drive.
Now one for you. When did you decide on becoming a florist, and what influenced your decision? And by the way, I haven't forgotten that you're on my list for your own day, over on SoMS. I was waiting because I knew you were busy at work and getting ready to move, is it getting to be a better time for you?
You are so wonderfully expressive...is there an area of your life where expression is a bit more difficult for you?Yes, there are occasions in RL where I am painfully shy in certain company and under certain circumstances, and I want to disappear, become invisible and fly away.
What frustrates you?Communication breakdown between DH and myself. There are times when I know that no matter what words come out of my mouth, he is not going to hear the meaning I intend, or he is distracted and only half listening, and we go around and around in circles, without being able to break out of it at the time. This has an added complication because of the fact that his mother tongue is not English, but French, and in spite of being perfectly bi-lingual, he will sometimes use the French meaning of a word while speaking English, and then we have to sort that out, too.
What part of the human form do you find most beautiful? The shoulders and back running down into the buttocks, for both men and women.
What is it that you never tire of?Among other things, the way my perception of the world changes as soon as I look through the view finder of my camera.Wonderful questions, thank you.Now here's my question to you.Put the following list of literary characters in descending order, first one being the one you most identify with, last being the one you least identify with. Catherine Earnshaw, Lady Macbeth, Jane Eyre, Claudine, Anne Eliot and Scarlett O'Hara. I'm fairly certain you know of all of them, but feel free to drop any out you don't know, and substitue one of your own choice.
You and I are having that lunch in Paris that we talked about recently. What are we dining on, and what are we having to drink with it?We started with a chilled glass of Dom Ruinart Rosé champagne, which accompanies the starter, a light salad of arugula, poached pear slices and blue cheese, sorry, not Stilton. It is followed by a beautifully cooked filet of sole, which has been poached in a white wine sauce that is made by first chopping shallots and fresh baby carrots quite finely, sautéeing them in butter until they are softened and slightly caramelised, at which point the pan is deglazed with Macon Village Blanc. The sole is then added and cooked to perfection. It is served with more fresh vegetables on the side, again baby carrots and asparagus, since it is in season. We are actually drinking champagne with the entire meal, sticking with the Dom Ruinart Rosé. Since this is lunch, there is a simple cheese tray afterwards, with an excellent St. Félicien, which is local to my region, a Pierre Doré, from Burgundy, in honour of our hostess, and finally a lovely Stilton, as a compliment to you. There are dried fruits to go with the Stilton. And of course the bread is a meal in itself. For desert there is a fresh fruit tart of cherries and apricots, and for the chocolate lovers who may be present, a chocolate mousse, quite light, perfumed with Cointreau. Then coffe.
You get to choose a 3rd person to join us for lunch. It can be anyone: a celebrity, a board friend, someone you want to introduce me to. Whom are we dining with, and what influenced your selection?Ah, that one took no hesitation, we are dining with cl-l8tolove, the delicious Michele. Need I really explain my decision? We have a rope corset to fit on her, it's about time that project came to conclusion. All right, I really want to see her, too.
I'd ask what you're wearing, but I think I already know the answer to that, so here's a softball question instead. How much do you love your new corset?ROFL! I absolutely love it, and am SO glad I have it and wonder what took me so long to get around to buying it!!! I have been thinking of emailing you about it, because if you need a recommendation for that day, either distant or not so distant when DW is a candidate for one, I have the company name and web site for you.
Have you shared (or are you going to share) our story on the FB with DH?This is so funny. Do you want to hear the dialogue about that?Me: I'll be there in a minute, I have to post something, I'm co-writing a story and we're posting our sections right now.Him: With Michele?Me: No, with Steve.Him: What's it about?Me: It's an erotic story that's a bit kinky, do you want to read it?Him: silence..... No, that's all right. But! He keeps asking how it's coming along, so once it's finished, I may bring the subject up again.
All right, duty calls, I have the photography questions left to answer, and I'll come up with my question for you at that time.;-)
You told us you have visited 9 other countries. How many different countries have you resided in?
Of the countries you have visited, which is your favorite to visit?
What did you do there (that you can tell us about)?
Oh, which brings up a better question: What did you do there than you can’t tell us about?
Your dinner with Steve is…beyond comprehension. You did a marvelous job explaining it to us. Do you prefer to Dine-in, or Dine-out?
Macro or Landscape?
Beach or Mountains?
Spring or Autum?
Cashmere or Silk?
And of course what would our board be without the sex question…Nipple or Navel?
Of the countries you have visited, which is your favorite to visit?Italy.
What did you do there (that you can tell us about)?Ate, drank, took photographs, had a wonderful time, went to village markets, bought food, cooked, ate, drank, spent time with people I love and don't see as often as I wish...
Oh, which brings up a better question: What did you do there than you can’t tell us about?LOL! I'll skip on that one, you have an imagination, don't you? Failing that, read the story Steve and I are writing, over on fantasies..... j/k
Your dinner with Steve is…beyond comprehension. You did a marvelous job explaining it to us.Why, thankyou! Do you prefer to Dine-in, or Dine-out?Depends. Sometimes, I enjoy preparing just such a meal and dining in, and yes, I have done meals like that, and more than that. At a different time of year I would have given my recipe for pan fried oysters that have been poached in champagne and then coated with roasted, chopped almonds and hazelnuts and sautéed in butter. That's a New Year's Eve specialty. At other times, I shut down and prefer to go out. I am the discoverer of Combat Cooking, when you have ten guests coming for a formal dinner, and find out at four in the afternoon that there will actually be fourteen guests. And you deal with it. For certain dishes, I much prefer to dine out. Sole, for example, dine out, if the chef knows how to prepare it. Some things are delicate, sole is one of them. I have prepared it, and appreciate the finesse that is required to do it well, when it is someone else doing it. Same thing with rabbit.
Macro or Landscape?Macro.
Beach or Mountains?Beaches, I live among the mountains, but am not from them. Beaches, please.
Spring or Autum?Autumn. The light is better.
Cashmere or Silk?Yes, please. lol
And of course what would our board be without the sex question…Nipple or Navel?Nipple, unless it is as a receptacle for champagne, then it is navel all the way.Now my question for you, which is similar to Steve's. List the following literary figures in order of the one most like you, to the one who is least like you.Quasimodo, Hamlet, David Copperfield, Huckleberry Finn, Ashley Wilkes, Captain Kirk, James Bond or Pinocchio.
Hey Nenu-
>>> When did you decide on becoming a florist, and what influenced your decision?<<<
There is a kind of story--I didn't really decide to become a florist. I didn't go to school for it or anything. I moved here to WV 6 years ago this month and I worked at a store until Feb when it closed and I had decided that I was going to move to my aunts and I had my stuff packed and everything and the night before I was to leave I changed my mind. So the next day I was driving down the road and just happened to stop at the florist on a whim to put in an application. After I got hired I found out the only reason the owner hired me was because this older lady who worked there told her she should because I smiled at the older lady while I was in there. I believe everything happens for a reason, but I'm not totally sure about this one. Because I don't love this job. So we'll see where I go from here.
1. Sir Stephen
2. Captain Frederick Wentworth
3. Dr. Watson
4. Rhett Butler
5. Petruchio
6. Horace Rumpole
7. Odysseus
8. Vicomte de Valmont
9. Blind Captain Cat
