Here's how things work:

- Members can reply to this thread and ask you questions about anything -- sex, life, the weather, just anything!

- You can plead the 5th and not answer a question if you feel it is too personal.

- You can ask a question of any member that has asked you a question in your reply to them.

- When members reply to the question you have asked of them, they will reply on this thread too.

- Members can ask you questions more than one time.

- Remember, this is for fun, so let’s be kind to each other.

Great! I've picked out an outfit (see reply to Nenu), what do you think? ;-). You'd think I hadn't been fed for months, judging by how I'm getting through this delicious meal.

Umm, suddenly I'm having difficulty concentrating on my meal, for some reason. ;o)

Oh Steve, I can't think why that might be the case ;-).

We are in the new house, but not totally unpacked. I have been taking a day off here and there to do it. I took monday off and got the kitchen unpacked, today I'm off to get some more stuff done. We've been working outside alot, pulling out little trees and planting flowers, replacing fences...stuff like that. I want to paint the living room before I unpack it. Thanks for asking :-)

What do you think of your new president?

Time will tell, but he is one smooth operator, that's for sure. But it is unlikely that there will be any deceptions with him. He has been groomed for this for a long long time.

If you had the power to change something about France, what would it be?

That is a tough question. I've never entertained the idea that I could change it. I'll get back to you on that one.

If you were offered a free trip home to the U.S., aside from visiting family, who would you visit next?

Well, I'm not from the U.S., so there would not be the problem of having to visit family, it would entirely be visiting other people. We have a lot of friends on the west coast, in both California and Seattle, who have often told us we were welcome to come and visit, so I might start with them. There are people I would want to see in the south, but maybe they could all regroup somewhere, so that I wouldn't have to keep moving around to everyone. Let's say Texas, for a big barbequeue - I mean, it's probably close enough for Misty and Meme to just pop in, isn't it? Then it would have to be the Boston area, I've long promised Michele that I would take photos of her DS. And hopefully Steve would drop in, while I was there. Also Emily would appear, and with any luck, we could get Tanya down for a few days, too. I would want to get to New Orleans and Chicago, because of the music scenes there, and to Arizona, to the Center for Creative Photography.

Any places you haven't been to in a very long time that you would like to visit again?

Yes, Greece, especially Santorini. Also Atlantic Canada.

What was your best childhood memory?

Being at my grandmother's cottage during the summer holidays. Absolute heaven, it was.

If your husband gave you complete control over your sex life for one evening, what would you do to him?

Probably wear him out. lol

He'd have to start by giving me a head to toe massage, and I do mean toe. He would work on my feet and I would have my first orgasm that way, sigh, it's been sooo long since I had a good foot massage that brought me to that point. Afterwards, he would have to give me oral until I nearly pass out. Then a knock at the back door, as a finale.

Wait! What I'd do to HIM? I'd make him do the above. lol

Quasimodo, Hamlet, David Copperfield, Huckleberry Finn, Ashley Wilkes, Captain Kirk, James Bond or Pinocchio.

1. Mr. Finn
2. Pinocchio
3. Ashley Wilkes
4. Mr. Bond!
5. Captain Kirk (always leading Adventures & avoiding Klingons)
6. Quasimodo (can ring a bell with the best of them!)
7. David Copperfield (not good at all at deception)

Ok, now that you enticed me to explore each of these characters, that exploration brought up a story:

Huckelberry Finn and me.

Although I did not grow up in slave times, nor along the Mississippi River, I did grow up in a place which was not unlike that depicted by Twain. And I did not befriend a Slave, rather it was a neighbor kid, a year older than me. We did have many a Twain-like adventure in our youth. Some were played out in reality, and many, many enlightened with the embellishment of time. Our Granddaughter often requests of me to tell some more “Cliff Stories” All of which are a product of that era along with the embellishments and enhancements to make them a story worthy of a Granddaughter’s attention.

Also, in High School (which was very small), although we did not have a “drama” class, our English teacher would have us put on a play each year. We did put on the Adventures of Tom Sawyer & Huck Finn, and I played the part of Jim. I don’t specifically recall the scene, but there was one involving a “dead cat” produced by Jim to the picaresque heroes. I was a “farm boy” in-fact from a farm which had a dairy, and sure enough, wouldn’t you know it, we had a…deceased cat, which we froze and used as a stage prop for that very scene. It did elicit some humor from the audience!

Then it applies again, today. I’m living as a minority on a Caribbean Island. Huck and Jim. Only this time Jim is amongst his, and I’m the outcaste. I am learning what it is like to see the world from Jim’s perspective. Pretty uncomfortable…concerning all matters human.

Thanks, Nenu

You're welcome, and thank you for sharing that bit of insight into your own life. We don't know one another well at all but I had a hunch that you would chose Huck Finn as being in the pole position, and it is fascinating that you are aware of having been in both roles, that of Huck, that of Jim. Sigh. I love literature.

I have far greater sentimental memories of Huck, than of that slacker Tom Sawyer. lol

I feel so honored that you would also want to visit with me! Texas is actually a bit of a jaunt; however, it might be worth the trip if we were close enough for Glovie to be our bartender. On the other hand, New Orleans would provide an excellent middle ground for many of us. The bartenders there are plentiful and the entertainment endless. I do love that city, and have family there that I also think you would enjoy having a lunch with in the French Quarter.

I don't know where I got the idea that you were from the U.S. I think I just assumed it lol.

I see the Belgian media were accusing the French President of being drunk at the G8 summit after he arrived late and breathless after a meeting with the Russian President. Saw the video on the news last night. They've retracted that statement since his office said he never touches alcohol. He was acting rather strange though - couldn't help but wonder if the Russian President had put a few sneaky drops of vodka in the tea pot lol. If he isn't accustomed to drinking, it wouldn't have taken much for the desired effect lol.

Anyway, sounds like quite the party might be had in Texas. I think I'd have to enquire about a bank loan for a holiday ;-). I have a good friend in Cali that I would have to stop by and visit for sure, so I'd have to make a detour on the way there, or on the way back.

Who knows, maybe I might win lotto one day, and won't need the loan, now isn't that a lovely thought lol.

Sounds like you'd have quite the evening with DH ;-).
