So after a long career of marriage (not all to the current person unfortunately) I have determined that my current DW of 8 years (who has a much lower libido than I) seems to have a couple of "horny days" each month.

It's normal for hormones to fluctuate during the monthly cycle.

When I had a regular period, there were definitely times during my cycle that I felt hornier than others. Once I started showing menopausal symptoms, I was horny 24/7, and the desire was stronger than any I ever felt in my lifetime. I contribute that too hormones as well. Things have calmed down a bit now, but in general, I'm not seeing a cycle that changes anymore.

If she gets bad headaches and it is cyclical then it could be her hormones. I dont know why she is seeing an endochrinologist.

Some women do get migraines. It's the hormone fluctuations in the body. It's PMS... May I ask why she's going to the endocrinologist?

If she's always so tired, has she had a complete physical with her primary care doctor?

She has had the work up by her ob and the primary care folks - The endochronologist is to see if she i suffering from any hypothyroid issues.

Thyroid issues can also affect her libido. There are a couple of members here that have dealt with that. Hopefully they'll pick up on this thread.

If you want to discuss that, you might want to start a new thread about it too. With thyroid in the title, they will surely see it.

That makes sense. Thyroid problems can cause low libido among other things. Please let us know how she makes out. If it is something to do with her cycle, they will have her come in before, during and after for more testing.

Chemistry,

Is your DW on BC pills? That can affect lots too, I had to switch pills occationally through the years because as my natural hormones changed, the pills had different effects on me. My hormonal levels were all "perfect" but SUBTLE changes are sensed by our bodies. I would get headaches like clockwork.

Thanks all for the replies again.

Yes Low Libido is an issue.
