I was wondering if anyone knows, do all orgasms give you muscle contractions. Is it possible to have an orgasm without having them?

Well, the GOOD ones do! LOL!

No, seriously, the contractions are what pushes the engorged blood in the genitals and pelvis back into the body and what provides that wonderful sensation.

I've had many sessions where my arousal continued to build but then kind of fizzled away for some reason. So, no....I don't think you can have an orgasm without the contractions since that's what an orgasm IS!

Yes it is possible, although I have never personally experienced that.

"Orgasm is the point at which all the tension is suddenly released in a series of involuntary and pleasurable muscular contractions that may be felt in the vagina and/or uterus (some women do experience orgasms without contractions)."

Thanks for the reply.

I also found that site and saw that some women don't experience them, but now i'm doubting that. I'm so confused :\

Hmm, I think my reply to you may have been lost, i'm not sure, i'm new to these boards!

This is all starting to stress me out, stupid body! lol. I was worried that it wasn't possible. I know I need to relax and not try to climax, just let it happen... but that's easier said than done!

I know no-one can tell how another persons orgasm will feel, but is it possible that the warm, tingly sensation in my pelvis and legs are where i am about to climax... or just a regular pleasurable feeling?

Thanks for your reply

My rule of thumb is if I feel contented, satisfied and a little sleepy afterwards, AND I feel those distinctive contractions throughout my genitals, pelvis and rectum, then I've orgasmed. But for ME, the tingling you mentioned, is just the sensation of arousal, not orgasm.

As you said though, no one can tell you what YOUR orgasm should feel like.

Women are lucky. We can have many different types of orgasms.

I have had purely clitoral ones with no vaginal contractions. Easy and quick.

I have had purely vaginal orgasms with contractions I could not feel. Take more foreplay.

I have had vaginal orgasms with hard contractions, with more foreplay.

I have had a combination of clitoral and vaginal orgasm (in one orgasm) with contractions (this is wow, great!!!!) This type takes lots and lots of good foreplay and my H is too impatient to bring me there unfortunately. But they are great.

Man an orgasm is incredible....you never thought something could feel so good......my one problem is that whem I'm close to having one while my SO is giving me head (oral sex) I tend to push him away or try and move because I feel as if I'm going to lose all control and explode....does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to not push him away or move....its a reflex that I have that makes me do that but I want to experience what the orgasm will be like but my reflexes won't let me....maybe I need to be tied down to the bed lmao
