My man wants me to shave...
| Wed, 12-22-2004 - 12:49pm |
My SO wants me to shave. He saw my "bush" the other day & said, "When are you going to shave that? It's a turn-off." I shave now -n- then, but I've gotten real slack lately w/ my hygiene. I told him, "It's my body & if I don't feel like shaving, I won't. I might trim it a little." He didn't say a daggone word after that. Not ALL women shave... in a matter of fact, most women don't b/c they don't feel they need to... and if their man ain't happy with it, they move on. A guy should respect your body. Am I right or am I right (being sarcastic)?

Even the French girls are trimming and shaving and waxing. Doesn't sound like nearly as many are doing it as in the States - but they are!
Clearly understood. Shaving is likely the of her issues with that guy.
Personally, I don't really care how well a couple get along either, if they cannot communicate whats really going on in their minds/hearts, then that to me is a "surface" relationship and not a "substance" one.
As you reminded us, he wasn't exactly treating her like his princess either. I was hoping she'd update us cause there's plenty of readers who could actually learn a thing or two as well. This represents so many relationships out there. :(

okay your right your man must respect your body but also the not shaving thing it's unheygenic. It leads to femmine itch and usually bad breakouts. But your right it's your body. But just a concern!!!!

NO WAY! Please tell me you do not believe this! I hope this is just a joke.
Not shaving does not lead to ANYthing but...hair covered genitals. For generations, women did not shave anything at ALL and had no problems. And millions of women worldwide do not shave their genitals. They're not all suffering from poor hygiene, itching or breakouts. The hair is SUPPOSED to be there. It's natural, it's normal, it's what you get when you start becoming a mature women.
I shave now, just the outer labia. But I didn't shave for 35 years and nothing ever happened to me. In fact, I would truthfully say that I had more itching the few times I shaved everything.
If someone WANTS to shave, nothing wrong with it. But leaving things perfectly natural is fine too and it won't lead to any problems. Ask your GYN if you don't believe me.
