need help finding good position

Yesterday I had an onset of urinary tract infection.. it was NOT fun. My doctor told me that in some women this may be caused by intercourse, and I guess I'm one of those women because the pain came about about 1/2 an hour after I had sex. I read up on this and one of the prevention methods includes having sex in a position that puts less friction and pressure on the urethra.

Does anyone have any idea what position would cause less friction to the urethra?? Because that I do not know. Or what position DOES cause friction??

Thank you in advance.. if I can avoid this happening again I would be very pleased.

Hi Alex! As a , I'm not very qualified to help you with this...LOL...but as a ...ahhhh... ;D

Okay, according to my wife, the absolute BEST way to prevent--as much as possible anyway--pressure against the urethra is to be in a position which provides YOU the most control. Quite frankly, she suggests that the woman be on top. There are different positions that will cause less/more pressure than other ones, but YOU will ultimately have to experiment which ones you'll be able to tolerate. Taking it slow and easy, and having a very patient partner, is obviously what you'll want to do.

Hope that helps.
