ditto. Lube. my favorite is astroglide. i think it's more like the real thing. And I think it's normal to need to use this sometimes. Dh and I have been married for 5 years and we still need to use it sometimes. it does hurt if i'm dry.

If you are using lube for the first time, I would also suggest Astroglide. I have the gel, and it's great. I have tried a couple of other lubes but they actually caused some irritation to me. So the Astroglide is best for me.

Welcome to the board, thestudent2008.

I'll chime in with everyone else here and say "lube", but I wouldn't recommend the warming type to start off with. Some members have complained that the warming effect is too much for them.

Water based lubes are the least expensive, and as others have said, Astroglide is a good brand. I've also had great success with just the KY Liquid. If you're using condoms, be sure to read the label on the lube and make sure it's compatible with latex condoms. (I think all water based ones are.)

You can apply the lube to her and to yourself, which should help, but you should also make sure that she is properly aroused prior to beginning intercourse.

Ditto on using lube and if you're using condoms with a spermicide, it could be an allergic reaction to the spermicide.
