I'm sure you've heard about razor burn and ingrown hairs down in that area on women. Well I've had a lot and now what I have left are purple colored scars (like polka-dots) on my inner thighs. So my question is: How would you feel if you were getting intimate with your gf for the first time (I dont mean sex) and saw them? Would you be grossed out and disgusted? Would it ruin the "moment" ? thanks!

Getting intimate IS sex.....and those marks are no different than any other kind of mark or scar. They're part of you. If a guy is turned off by them then he's only looking for some sex, and isn't really "into you".

You might just stop shaving. The hair will grow in and cover the marks...and guess what, most men don't CARE if you shave or not.

Everything from hugging, kissing, touching, intercourse and everything in between is being intimate.

You said "but not sex"......what you mean is "but not intercourse".....which is a part of sex, but it's ALL sex, from the first kiss until the end. You can call it getting "intimate" if you want to, but it's sex.

If you're that concerned about them, then talk with a dermatologist and see what your options are for removing or improving the look of them.

But unless you're being "intimate" with a guy who's only after sex and the so-called "perfect" body, then they won't matter.

No, nothing is bothering me lately. I just don't understand why people think that intercourse is sex, and nothing else is sex. If you're intimate, with or without intercourse, you're being sexual.

And I'm not a guy OR a "girl". I'm a woman, and haven't been a girl for about 50 years. I just checked my profile, and I don't know where the info went. I used to have a profile, and I'm going to fill it out now, to prevent any further confusion.

Believe me if any guy is close enoughtto see the little red marks from ingrown hairs he won't be looking at them,
I shave my love and after a couple of days she get's those marks too,
You could try wiping the area the day after shaving with 'Distilled Witch Hazel BPC'
ASs it helps prevent ingrown hairs and soothes irretation(sp?)

jacobiteone,

the lady who waxed me suggested I buy Tend Skin from the salon. I think it's witch hazel mixed with something else. I read the ingredients but I forgot what it said. I guess I got the scars because I used a tweezer to pull out the hairs, but which is worse: letting the hair continue to grow further, deep into my skin or pull it out? lol

Ok from a guy who wax's himself and tweezes to tidy up the odd hair that waxing miss.

I have found it better not to try and tweeze these ingrown/ing hairs and just use a louffa on the area while in the bath or shower. Which should encourage these hairs to grow out,
But yes your right sometimes they can grow several mm's long before breaking through,
cheers Jacobiteone
