I have anxiety and panic disorder for few months. I am on Zoloft 100mg. I lost sex drive in the first few weeks but not anymore. I still have panic attack during sex but not as frequent. I have been with the same partner for 5 years but I didn't have panic attack during sex in the past. He is older than me by 13 years and he knows better about sex than I do. We normal had good sex life about 2 or 3 times a weeks.

Frankly, I like sex very much but I can't explain what triggered panic attack during sex. I didn't have a history of panic disorder but I have a history of chronic depression and anxiety disorder.

Postings are always hard to understand the situation. I am not a psychiatrist and I don't think many on this board are so giving advice on your conditions is not possible. As I read your posting two things come to mind. Are you comfortable having sex with him or do you feel forced? How is your relationship with your SO outside of the bedroom?

You might need to have your doctor switch your medications.

I never have problem of having sex with my current boyfriend even though he is not my first one. As I said, I like sex very much and I don't feel like being forced at all. Our relationship is very stable. I live with him for over 3 years. We are considered to be legal spouse even though we are not legally married. I have notice that is so hard to find someone who wants the same thing like me. However, he is the right man for me.

Even before I was on Zoloft, I had a very servere panic attack. Zoloft really helps me to reduce panic disorder probably because it is still a little too short to tell how effective it is. I have only been on Zoloft for just 6 weeks. Panic attack is not the side effective of Zoloft in my case. However, dry mouth, drowsiness, neausea, dizziness and increased sweating are the very noticible side effects. The panic attack is not as frequent as before I was on Zoloft.

As I said, I have a history of chronic depression and it took me 5 years to be treated probably. I haven't been treated for depression for 2 years and it didn't relape at all. I rather have noticed anxiety disorder seems to reoccur. I have panic disorder for over 6 months.
