Passing out from orgasm??

Hi, I'm new here. :)

Question, especially for the women: Has anyone ever passed out/blacked out because an orgasm was so intense? Just during regular intercourse or oral, and not related to any kind of restraint or asphyxiation, etc.

Personally, I find this hard to believe. I have very intense orgasms (I'm a woman) and never came close to losing consciousness. Hubbie told me that one time, a woman he was with passed out once, because of the orgasm she had. He thinks it must be the be-all and end-all of female orgasms. I suspect that maybe she fell asleep on him and made this up to cover. ;-D Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

Yes, I have. Do you have any reason not to belive your husband? Are you feeling pressured to have this type of orgasm?

The reason I question it is that I never heard of it and doubt it's existence. He believes it really happened. He hasn't pressured me at all, but I sense he believes that this passing out must be the "ultimate orgasm" that I haven't had.

You're the first to say it's true, I've never heard it before. Would you feel comfortable explaining it? :)

Capn - I was married for ten years to a woman who often passed out during the height of her orgasms. She could never explain the sensation, except to say that she lost conciousness for about thirty seconds (I was the one who measured the time; it worried me).

It did not happen every time. She never said that those orgasms were any more special than when she did not pass out.

It is my personal opinion that passing out during orgasm is not something that a woman can learn or train herself to do. I've never known another woman that ever did this.

Hello, thanks for answering. :)

Do you think she may have been holding her breath unintentionally?

<< Do you think she may have been holding her breath unintentionally? >>

That could be the cause... I believe that she was hyperventilating (did you ever get dizzy from blowing up a balloon or air mattress?).

Yes, that makes perfect sense. I posted this question on about 3 different boards, and another person who was familiar with this happening said it was hyperventilation in their case, too.

Thanks for answering! :)
