Penis implants.

Some male posters have stated that breast implants are a turnoff. Ladies: if a man with a severe erectile disfunction problem got a penis implant to make it possible for him to have an erection, would that be a turnoff for you? Assume it's the only way he could have an erection and therefore intercourse.

This is a bit like comparing apples to oranges. I am assuming you are asking about breast implants done for cosmetic reasons not surgical repair after something like breast cancer. If done for purely cosmetic reasons they are a turn off for me. But to compare that to a penis implant -- another surgicar repair -- is a bit much. A better comparison might be againts implants to make a guy more muscular as that is a cosmetic procedure. To me breast implants are a total turn off but if I had ED issues I might consider a penis implant to that my SO and I could still have a "normal" sex life. Same if she had breast cancer and had implants done to appear "normal" again I would be fine with that. I am tall and thin but the famous people she says are hot are very muscular. I would never think about implants to make me look bigger. There is more to a person the their outer appearance. If someone is that vain to enhanse it for cosmetic reasons alone that is someone I have no desire to be with. BTW -- I am a male and feel this way but I am sure the females will have a lot to say too. Hope you are ready for that...LOL.

No, it wouldn't be a turn-off at all if it was something he needed.

Knowing that most men equate erection with their "manhood".....if my partner wanted to get one, I would do my best to dissuade him.....simply because "intercourse" is only a PART of a "normal" sex life.......and there are too many things that can go wrong in ANY surgery. If I felt that he really needed it to feel like a man, it wouldn't be a "turn-off" for me, but I would feel badly that he felt it was necessary. I would feel the same about Viagra......too many dangerous side effects, and I could live very nicely without intercourse!

I think the difference here is medical need vs vain want. If my husband had erectile dysfunction due to illness/disease/injury and that was the only way possible to keep our sex life going...I would not find it a turn off at all. Penis implants don't alter the appearance of a penis, only the function. Breast implants however alter appearance and not function. To me, this is like apples and oranges.

Of course it wouldn't be a turn off. Not to me anyway. I would understand why it would be important to a man to have an implant. Does a man not understand if a woman has breast cancer, why she may would want breast augmentation(sp?).
But Its news to me that breats implants are a turn off, didn't know that,,,,learn something everyday. sweet_mulberry

It wouldn't bother me a bit. I think that I would admire him for having the courage to do this sort of thing. And I hope that he would be doing this for himself, not for me. There are alot of other things more important than actual intercourse. For me, foreplay is just as satisfying.

Of course not, particularly if this was a man I loved.

But as someone else pointed out, breast implants and penile implants serve different purposes and aren't really comparable. One is purely superficial and the other actually allows a previously functioning organ to function again!
