Penis measuring

Okay, this one may seem weird, but...
before I was married, I used to really like finding out the size of the penis of the boyfriend I was dating. I know it sounds shallow, but I was just curious;) Most of the guys I dated would laugh at me when I said I wanted to measure their penis. And most of them wouldn't let me measure them unless I would make a deal to do something for them. But I have to tell you, only one of my boyfriends measured up to the size he had told me he was before being measured. All the others had exaggerated...hmmm, how come no one is surprised! :) Anyways, the biggest one was 6 and 1/4 inches and the smallest was 5 and 1/4 inches (in case anyone was curious!). And guys, please don't be offended. After all, I know plenty of guys who are really curious about bra sizes. I just want to know if anyone else is into measuring their lover's penis and how they measured up. And how did they react when you asked? I know we always made the measuring event a fun evening ;)

I've never actually had a woman ask me if she could measure it. However, I do know having measured it myself. Curiousity I suppose.
The penis size debate crops up all the time, especially around here. There are a variety of ways of measuring it, what way did you use? I always thought that along the top with a gentle yet firm pressure against the pubic bone was more or less the norm, but recently someone posted and said that Doctors stretch out a limp penis and measure that. Apart from being uncomfortable, I wondered how accurate that was.
Women measuring? Ha! The only man I've ever had a hand in measuring was DH, and that was because HE wanted me to and wouldn't shut up about it until I did! We'd actually had an argument about it only because I said I thought he was *under*estimating his size although it didn't matter to me.
The only other man I remember something related about, was a guy I dated in HS who told me he was 5 and 5/8 (or 6 and 5/8) something like that. Knew right down to the fraction of an inch, both erect and not. If you ask men what their size is, they'll have a number to give you. Don't try to convince me it's women who want to do the measuring!
Besides, men have that innate desire for spacial concepts. They want to know if the wheel covers are 13" or 15", they want to know if it gets 26 or 28 MPG, if it really goes 0-60 in 5.0, if there's really 24 sq foot of storage space and so on!
Yes. I'm sure my DH probably knows his size but he's never told me. I'm sure most men know their size. Just as most women know their bra size.
But no man has ever asked for my bra size or any statistics much less wanted to VERIFY them but if one had, I would have been out the door. If you are happy with what you see and feel, then what does the number matter? And if the number is less than you believe it is, aren't you running a risk of being disappointed?

Tally has an interesting point that I never thought of before. Men have a thing for numbers. We want to know the horse power of an engine, the size of the tires, the speed of a hard drive in a computer, all kinds of sports statistics. Maybe subconsciously, that is partly why guys like to know what their penis size is, and what women's bra sizes are - because it's another number for them to log into their memory banks.
For women, their boob size is more functional. They have to know what size they are in order to buy bras.
