Penis!

Hi, I've never posted on this board before, but I thought this was appropriate for this board.
Scientific studies seemed to have more objectivity in determining the average length of a man's penis.

Rain dancer,
I am a man of science and business so I come to the following conclusions (one and or both)
Male endowment is an interesting topic to discuss. But I don't think that men "get it".....that their size is much more important to them than it is to most women. Let's face it, we can't go "shopping" for size! (not unless you're at an orgy!) We find a man that we care for, and we can only HOPE he's in the "average" range.
NO woman wants to find out that the man she cares about is 2" erect, OF COURSE! (BTDT, and all I can say is I felt sorry for the poor guy!) But by the same token, most of us wouldn't be totally thrilled to find out he's 10" either. I'm sure the Sex and the City fans all remember the Horse/Samantha episode. Bigger isn't always better.
And, as always, I'd rather have a loving man in the average range than a HUGE man who doesn't know what to do with it, or simply relies on his size to impress. I think most women feel the same way.
But the most important thing is......when you find the right man, you'll accept and love what he is, and what he has, no matter where he falls in a statistical range.
Going back to the original post, regarding the different measurements, there seems to be a few reasons for the discrepancies.
1) Bone pressed vs. non-bone pressed vs. along the side. If you take a ruler and lay it along the top of a penis with the 0" mark lightly touching the skin on the pubic bone, that is non-bone pressed. For reference, my measurement is 6.25". If you press the ruler down on the fat pad until you actually press down firmly on the pubic bone, that is called bone-pressed. My measurement there is close to 7". Now, if the ruler is placed beside the penis, and pressed down, a different number pops up. Mine is about 6.75".
So, just with the method of measuring, different "accuracies" exist.
2) Survivorship bias. (I think that's the term I'm reaching for anyway). If I had a 7-1/2" penis, I really wouldn't have a problem taking part in some survey. If mine were about 3-3/4", wild horses couldn't drag me anywhere near a ruler.
3) Rigidity issues. I've tried measuring when I thought I've had a "strong" erection before and have always found it spoiled the mood/wood (duh) and started deflating by the time I focused on the tiny numbers on the ruler. If I were in a booth with a doctor and two nurses looking at my erect manhood, I really wouldn't be too up for the task at hand.
4) Obvious bold faced lies.
Anyway, that's my two cents.

I agree, four of my five bfs have been about 5" long and 4-1/2" around. The current one, just taking an architect's scale and resting it on top (easy to do, his is straight and sticks straight out) is exactly 7.0" long and 5.9" in girth, no "optimizing" or pressing into his belly whatsoever. 7" has got to be on the larger side because the thing looks absolutely huge compared to the previous bfs, even though I read all the time on this board that there are many much bigger ones than even that out there.
I think it's something like measuring a yacht -- my dad has a 34' sailboat and I was recently on a 38' sailboat and it seemed about half again as big, given that it was wider and just had more going on.
It is fun to measure the guy, and even the ones with shorter ones have been way into it because you're just paying attention to their fave thing!
A small study I recently read online, indicated that men tended to UNDER estimate their own length, when flaccid. When they were told that the average flaccid length is between 1.8" and 2.7", they all realized that they were normal and felt better about how they measured up.
And I do think it's just human nature to fudge an inch here or there...whether it's to penis length or to height. We are talking about INCHES here, so an inch either way isn't going to make much difference to a woman.
