Oh yes, you did. Your comments insinuated that one should not offer a personal opinion on any given subject unless one can offer more than personal experience.

I'm not going to debate YOUR choices with you. As I said you can define yourself however you chose. If I believe the world is flat, then it's flat for me. And whether I believe, agree with or acknowledge ANY choice you or anyone else makes really makes no difference.

No m'am, I said nothing of the sort, and I'll thank you not to mischaracterize my posts that way.

I did suggest that there were resources available here in iVillage on the very topic we are discussing, and that someone holding a strong opinion on the subject might benefit from reviewing those resources.

I haven't mentioned my choices in this thread, nor have I suggested you debate them, whatever they may be.

I didn't mischaracterize anything. That's clearly what your comment said to me.

So, if you and I disagree on this subject, then why continue to debate? Your experience has lead you to one conclusion and mine, another. I told you that I'm familiar with Kinsey's theories. But just insisting that someone is wrong because it's not the way YOU see it, isn't convincing anyone of anything. It's just argumentative and serves no good purpose.

People can identify themselves however they choose and I have no problem with that.

And btw, you might be interested to know that my DH and I are registered Independants. LOL!

"If I was going to offer an opinion on sewing, I would visit that board." Or something to that effect. Why? Would you suddenly know how to sew by visiting that board? Would you be more interested in sewing if you had no desire to sew?

And your response assumed that I don't know anyone who is homosexual. AND it insinuates, to me, that I shouldn't offer an opinion if I am not personally interested enough to visit a board dedicated to bisexuality. If that was the case, you should have prefaced your poll accordingly.

You're also assuming that every person who offers thoughts, comments, etc. is looking for a debate or to be convinced of another opinion. They aren't.

I'll take your word that true bisexuals exist but as I have no interest in that choice myself, I don't think I'll be dedicating a large amount of time researching the subject. I'm sure that you know more about it than I do.

I wish you and yours a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
