Welcome to the board, loveitup1. It's great to hear all the excitement in your post!
I haven't personally experienced a 3-some, so I can't share real life experience with you there. I know that most couples set their boundaries before being in the situation -- things like if kissing on the lips is okay, or if the other guy can touch your guy, things like that. Hopefully the two of you have already worked through those details, and shared them with the other partners who will be involved.
I hope things go great for you, and, of course, I hope you let us know all about it too!
From what I've read up on, a "unicorn" is in high demand. This is a woman that joins the couple, and the focus is primarily on the unicorn and not either member of the primary relationship. Unicorns tend to be more selective and more difficult to come by. The women who take on this role are usually very much in control of those arrangements.
In contrast, there are usually many men to choose from, and when bringing an extra man into the trio, the original partners are in more control of the events and their own focus. This is one of the reasons why many swingers clubs have a limit on the number of single men permitted into any one event.
