I find it interesting that in my polls on compliments about feet/shoe, hair, breasts & figure all were approved by the majority of voters. Hair won going away with all but one gal (who knows maybe she is bald) liked men telling them they have great hair even one gal who hated all other compliments. Feet/shoes was next with over 92% liking it which frankly was a bit of a surprise bur a nice one for a foot freak like me. I have begun to regularly compliment ladies with nice toes/feet &/or shoes. Figure was next with a large majority approving something I have never done to a stranger. Last was complimenting breasts but even here almost 82% of women liked it something I would never due to any one I was not involved with. So Hair's Safe, feet are pretty safe, Figure a bit iffy but watch out about breasts! All comments welcome!

Typically, anything above the neck and below the ankles is fair game. Once you stray into the other territories, you're on shaky ground, IMO.

I have enjoyed your polls, and found them to be very interesting. I have always been very sceptical of any compliment that comes my way. When I was in high school, I was very skinny and what I considered very homely. So I have received quite a few "compliments" in my early days, mostly from the guys or the very popular girls in high school.

Almost 20 years later , and I look considerably different than I used to. The goofy part is, when I do receive a compliment, I either ignore it, or I come across like a pit bull. Flash backs from the "good old days", I guess. On occasion I still have dreams about being teased because I was so scrawny and ugly in high school.

I guess maybe how a person perceives a compliment might depend on past life experiences.

I think you've nailed it.
