ok, i have been dating the same guy for almost a year, and in october when my insurance was cancelled i had to go off of my birth control, since then we have been using the "pull out" method. well the past couple of weeks i had my period it was normal, but i have been feeling very sick espicially in the morning, i can barely brush my teeth without feeling sick. could i be pregnant and still have a normal period, what should i do?

The "pull-out" method does NOT work. From the moment he's erect, he's leaking ejaculate, which contains hundreds of sperm per drop. If you're ovulating at that time, it only takes ONE sperm to get pregnant. Haven't you heard of condoms? Not as effective as the pill, but about 100% more effective than pulling out.

If you had your period since the last time you did it, then it's highly unlikely that you're pregnant, since about 99.9% of women don't have a period if they're pregnant.

The only way to know for sure is to get a test. The "morning sickness" is probably psychosomatic because you're so worried about it. Until you can get back on the pill, use condoms.

Yep, it's time to buy a pregnancy test. As Dakine said, pulling out is as if you're doing nothing at all to prevent pregnancy. Not everyone skips periods either.

Good luck!

As the others said, I would strongly suggest getting tested.

Just to play devil's advocate, withdrawal is not totally ineffective. With typical use, between 19% and 27% will get pregnant. This compares with an average pregnancy rate of 85% when using no method at all.

I agree that condoms are a better choice (and help protect against STDs), plus you can get them for free at a planned parenthood. You might also be able to get help paying for BC pills at a planned parenthood, as they work on a sliding scale.

The other ladies are right, though, the only way to know for sure is to take a test. I know I've gotten so stressed about being preggers that I've felt sick and the stress has also delayed my period! Good Luck!
