Proper Penis Measurement

That thread about penis size got me thinking. Precisely how do you measure length? I've pushed the ruler right up against the pelvic bone. Using this method, I'm 7 1/4 inches. I've also measured from where the penis appears to naturally join the rest of my body. Using this method, I'm 6 1/2 inches.
What's the standardized, accepted method of measuring length?

Found my answer. Typically, you measure from the pelvic bone to the tip so at 7 inches, I'm high average.

"And that is why losing 10 or more pounds can add to your length. There is a significant fat pad over the pelvic bone, and the more of that you get rid of, the longer the perceived *and* measured length of the penis."
I don't carry extra poundage, so the difference in measurements is significant and real.
And all that makes absolutely NO difference to women at all. A 1/4 inch either way is not going to make or break sex for us.
Once again, this IS a man's issue.

1/4" one way or the other? Not likely to make much of a difference to most guys or to most women.
However, it IS an issue for me. Wife says I keep banging her cervix, which, apparently, is an unpleasant experience.
"Once again, this IS a man's issue."
Um, not from what I've heard here on this board. Size, apparently, DOES matter to women.
Maybe you DO bang your wife's cervix once in a while, as my DH does mine, but that's typically only in SOME positions. Are you hoping your penis will shrink or something?
And yes, size DOES matter to SOME women, as has always been have acknowledged on this board. There have always been Size Queens, just as there will always be Breast Men, etc.
If a woman is interested only in a sex partner, then a large penis might be THE attribute she looks for. But certainly not always. Technique is more important than a big stick.
However, size is not the first concern for MOST women. And the replies on most of these size threads on this board support that.
"Maybe you DO bang your wife's cervix once in a while, as my DH does mine, but that's typically only in SOME positions. Are you hoping your penis will shrink or something?"
For us, it's pretty much every position. Hoping it will shrink? Heavens no! Clearly, the size of my organ constitutes at least 1/2 of my self-concept.
The reason size comes up as an issue is nothing more than exploration. "Alright. We clearly have a problem, what's up with that? Am I big or is she small?" Life-threatening? Marriage-threatening? No, on both counts. Does it hurt to bring it up here? To ask? I don't think so. Maybe you do?
Well, as "Mr. Long John Silver", than you have an obligation to NOT penetrate your wife so deeply as to hurt her. But everyone has to make adjustments, don't they?
"Does it hurt to bring it up here?"
No, of course not, if it only came up occasionally! But a size question comes up about 3-4 times a week on this board! I think the frustration comes from the amount of time spent discussing the topic.
Perhaps, if men were as interested in learning about all aspects of the clitoris, penis size wouldn't be such a concern or issue.
"Well, as "Mr. Long John Silver", than you have an obligation to NOT penetrate your wife so deeply as to hurt her."
I get it! You thought I was bragging! Nope. I consider MANY other things more important than that. For example, I far more invested in how smart I am. ;}
"No, of course not, if it only came up occasionally! But a size question comes up about 3-4 times a week on this board!"
It comes up more frequently than that. I just saw two posts go by from women, asking how to tell a guy's size.
