People on the street share their thoughts about how long you should wait to have sex in this iVillage video clip.

If you had been interviewed on the street, what would your answer have been?

My thoughts are whenever it's right for you and you have no questions or doubts that you want to do it.

I think it just depends on the person, and how both people feel. I have been dating a guy for almost 3 months. We had sex the first time we meet, and about 5 times after that. But we had a few things happen, and now I have decided not to have sex for awhile. We know we have that connection, but we want to make sure there's more. It was a mutal decision, more him I think though lol. I like sex, but I want him to know theres more to me than that. He lives an hour away, so a lot of our realtionship is online for now. He's so busy with his work and getting his phd, I think its good we are taking things slow.

Hi Misty...Well you definitely do have some interesting questions this week. I would say that it totally depends on each situation. I have been very happily married for over 20 years and know that the times are different...life is faster...but I still think you have to be absolutely sure that it's the right time for both of you and hopefully alcohol or drugs are not clouding your judgement.

Thanks for joining in Sandra -- I think that's sound advice whether it was 20 years ago or today.
