Best gift received: very simple flowers, romantic dinner, and lovemaking after.

Best gift given: Last year I gave dh some silky boxers to wear to bed. He loved them!

I can't remember since Valentine's is such a weak blip on my radar (and I'm forgetful and not very romantic to boot).

My Dh is a hopeless romantic, so much more than me. I remember the best

Liv, the first Valentine's Day hubby and I shared, he gave me a pin made of dried flowers and a plastic heart that he had attached to the envelope of a card he had made for me. For several years, I would wear it on V-Day until it became to tattered. I still have it in my jewelry box, and love the feeling I get when I run across it from time to time. Instant smile!

Have you ever thought about wearing your ring on a necklace?

I have to say that I don't believe I have ever gotten, or given a Valentine's gift. Cards, yes. Gifts, no... Not my kind of holiday, I fear..

The best gift I have received is a stuffed bee that DH gave me on our first V-Day as a couple. That bee

Awww, Em, the bee story is great. It's wonderful to have something that has been through so much with you over the years.

We all know how good your cookies are ;-)

The first year I was with DH, I made him a huge blueberry muffin (more like a small cake) in a heart shaped pan. He lived a few doors from me and left for work early in the morning. I had the muffin waiting on his front porch for him with a note and a balloon. I didn't get to see his reaction, and he never talks about it now, but he really liked it then. We spent the entire day that year leaving each other little surprises.
