Anybody ever have a week where sex is just impossible because of mix-matched libidos or sheer exhaustion?

Sure, I have, Dh has and I'm sure the majority of couples have had times like that.

Not that I can remember although If I didn't initiate it it wouldn't happen,
and I try not to go moe than 5 days or so without , or I play solo but miss the connection with my love.

But yes it must happen to some folks

Absolutely! I've got two young kids, so I can tell you all about exhaustion. After we've got them in bed, all I want to do is collapse.

Wait till your little one is born, and THEN you'll know all about going a length of time with no sex ;-) Those with older kids tell me that it does get better when the kids get older. I'm living with hope.

DH and I won't go a week w/o sex either unless one of us is sick or he's out of town...Kinda hard to make love when he's not around...There are times where we're both so tired that we might make love once or twice throughout the week, but the next week, we're tearing our clothes off right after we get DD to bed.

My DH and I are empty nesters and we absolutely missed our sons terribly when they left home....for about 2-3 weeks! LOL! But that's what the terrible teen years are for, to help you miss them LESS. Now, they're calling US to find out where WE are every weekend! LOL!

We love them dearly but we also love having our privacy, home and time back to share with one another again. Contrary to the sentiments of so many other empty nesters we've talked with, we love this phase of our lives.

Yes, there IS a light at the end of the tunnel.

Oh yes, nothing unusual about that, with little ones around. Just wait...not to dismay you or anything...but it'll get worse before it gets better. Think you're tired now ;) ?

But it does get better.
