I shaved my entire pubic area a long time ago and now that it has all grown back the hair is thicker and coarser. I keep it trimmed, but still kind of short, so I'm wondering if the prickly hairs would sting you during intercourse missionary style. You know, kind of how a cactus would sting your skin if you lay on top of it. thanks

It's not really thicker and coarser than before, you know. It's just because the normally smooth tapered tip of the hair has been chopped off and the shaft of the hair has a sharp flat end. Anyway, that wasn't really the question, was it?

Stubble can be annoying. Not painful like a cactus though. Just a bit bristly like a 5 o'clock shadow. I find that it's worse when it's still short and "standing up". Once it's a bit longer and has more length to it, it's not annoying at all.

I would say, either shave it smooth or let it grow full.

The short stubble can be irritating. Actual sex in missionary may not be a problem because ht action is all inside anyway. But it can be a big irritant during oral. In fact for oral, it is better to be SMOOTH shaved.

Also in my personal experience sometimes my wife lies on top of me during foreplay and rubs her mound on me and this is when the pubic stubble is a huge turn off.

Can you say Sandpaper ??????? Like the other said. Shave it or let it grow out until it is soft.

It's no different than when my DH's beard has a day's growth on it. Doesn't stop me from giving him a big kiss at the end of the day though! LOL!

My advise to you would be to either let it grow out or shave it all off. If you plan on growing it back out, try using your conditioner that you use for your hair on it. that will help soften the hairs.
