Sex during your period?
| Wed, 08-04-2004 - 12:13am |
My bf and I have sex while I'm on my period (ever since I started getting the BC shot, my period has been light enough to do so without worry), and we were talking the other day about it. He said he learned (he's studying to become a nurse, I guess thats how he learned it) that usually when women have sex during their period, they get cramps and stuff. I haven't since we started doing it, and I was surprised myself because I didn't know about that.
I was just wondering if it really is normal for women to get cramps and/or feel pain, and I'm curious to know if I'm an "oddball" lol.

If the Mrs. & I read the articles correctly, many times post orgasmic headaches and even the infamous cramps are the result of high stress. Since menstruation involves pms which involves high stress for most women, then that high stress continues to affect the brain hormones that control the pressure of blood vessels and tissue against those certain very sensitive nerves in those certain areas after an orgasm (particularly the more powerful ones) occurs.
If I can find more resources, I'll try to post them, in the meantime, here is one of them that we do remember so far by Dr. Lin:

As always, drinking water aides in leveling those hormone levels even during stressful times and has always been a doctors remedy for my wife. Hope this helps. ;)
