Hi Everyone,

I'm going away with my boyfriend tomorrow evening, a romantic break as such.

Welcome to the board, Goddess Supergirl.

Are you referring to Birth Control Pills? If so, are you at the point where you would normally take the placebo pills?

I know that some people do skip the placebo pills and move right on to a new pack of pills to avoid having a period. However, I would recommend that you call your doctors office and ask if this is an option for you, since each pill can be different.

If you do get your period, a product you might want to try is called Instead Menstrual Cup. Here's a link if you want to learn more about it:

If your periods are irregular while on the pill, you should see your doctor. The only reason I still take the pill is to regulate my periods. Sorry, I know that doesn't answer your question, but I think there's a bigger problem here.

can I ask I question that is not directly answering your original inquiry? Do many men not want to have intercourse with their partner while they are having their period? I have been in two significant relationships and neither men minded. I have used the instead cup at times but other times not. Is this gross or taboo? I'm asking because I am now single....thanks

I also agree with the prior poster that if your periods are irregular while on the pill, you should be checked out. That's seems unusual to me.

I'm a man who's never minded having period sex with my partner. In my relationship, it's DW who's often considered visits from AF as a reason not to be intimate.

I've always had period sex, although during the heaviest days, I might prefer not too just because of the mess. It just depends on you and your partner and how each of you feel about it.

There are men who don't care, men who would rather pour acid on themselves, and men who actually enjoy sex with a woman during

LOL, I had burgundy and navy blue towels ;-)

I agree about the increase in libido too. Odd how that works, isn't it?

Period sex has never bothered this guy, just throw down a dark towel and go for it or play in the shower where it washes easily.....

Like the above poster it has usually been the woman that didnt want to do it when AF called.

When my DW was still having periods (she hasn't had one on about a year) we would have sex after the first couple of days. As for oral she is a devout oralphobe-although I do not think that I would want to give if AF were present.

The increase in libido was also true for my DW after she found her sex drive and was still having periods (about a three year overlap).
