Just curious, Elaine, why do you let it grow out in the summer when it is hot? I feel cooler without hair, and it is during warm weather that we wear thin clothing that could allow any fur to show.

If you all listen there are more gals and guys who have given up shaving and gone brazilian. Check out Body Hair & Skin Solutions message board. I don't remember which show it was on TV this week but this gal was talking to the guy and she in the middle of the conversation asked him "are you brazilian" and then went on with the conversation. Yes more guys are finding brazilian is great too.

Yes, for the moment, going brazilian seems to be a trend. But trends are cyclical and temporary so it's likely that natural will be en vogue again very soon.

You are right but, were not talking clothing fashion. Going brazilian is not what everyone gets to see or feel. I don't think this will change, in fact all indications show it is a growing trend among women and men. Seams like those who give it a try, most say they will never go back to having hair there.

I have to disagree with you.

Hairstyles & trends (anywhere on the head or body), clothing, body art, jewelry, anything that has to do with personal tastes & style, ALL will change over time and this trend is no different.

People get bored very quickly and then, someone starts a new trend. So much of our commerce is tied up in this desire for constant change!

Pornography, which has greatly influenced the brazilian trend, ALWAYS has to change to meet the never-ending desire for something new and different.

So, I have no doubt that sometime in the future, the natural look will be new and different. AGAIN.

Interesting that you should mention that, I was flicking through a new issue Penthouse the other day (as you do ;-) for the first time in a long time and I noticed that several of the models had a relatively good crop of pubic hair - not long pubic hair and still well trimmed but it was there in substantial amounts - and I can't recall seeing any pubic hair in a Penthouse for a long time.

If that magazine is doing that then I think that we can safely say that the current trend is on the way out.

I guess that when I get really hot and sweaty in the summer it is less itchy if it is hairy for some reason. Elaine
