Silly Question-Nipples

This is probably a silly question-
I have recently heard about flat nipples.
My nipples "at rest" are the same height as my areolas , my areolas are soft and puffy unless my nipples are erect. They do become erect easily. The question is, are these really flat nipples and are other women's nipples always at least a little erect or higher than their areolas?
Just wondering,
Irish

Hi, Irish.
Nipples are different on all women.
Hey Irish. Coincidentally, a lady on one of the male message boards that I read last month had a similar question. Unique question, so it was kinda easy to remember.
Some days Mrs. Para's are flatter and other days are not. Like the others here said, different for different women.

I think most women's nipples are level with the areola unless they're stimulated or cold. Just as with genitals though, every woman's nipples and areolas are different, Bigger, smaller, or whatever. There's nothing that can be considered "normal".
I think what you've heard about is "inverted nipples" which is a "condition" which in and of itself isn't harmful, but that makes it difficult or impossible to nurse a baby. Rather than being erect, they're turned inward, like a dimple.
Here's a website that describes & shows Inverted Nipples.
