i have a friend i went to school with and we got on the subject of size. well after her divorce she dated a guy who she said was 10" and very thick, and had a huge head on it. she said the 3 main differnces was when he first slipped it in, being he was so thick, it felt better since she said that first strioke is the best part of intercourse, second when he was all the way inside of her feeling his head deep inside rubbed something a normal mans penis didnt and third when he was thrusting she said she said she always had the sensation of the long strokes but at the same time ther was always 5 or 6" inside of her

This sounds like the Kama Sutra, but instead of using animals, you're using cars. :)

Well, I have zero interest in an SUV model. So how do I go about finding a mid-size model? Come to think of it, I've never heard a woman say she has an SUV model. Hmm... perhaps women lie about their size as much as men? :)

I know from my own experience that I have been too long for some women and didnt touch bottom with others...My wife dated a guy way back in college that was a 9ner..she hated it because when hed get carried away, hed bang her cervix and it really hurt..he was fairly thin too, with she didnt like. ;) Ladies have told me , other than appearence, theres not much difference in feeling a 6, 7, or 8 " penis..they just look different.

Well...since we're only speaking about the LENGTH of the vagina, why would it matter to any man what length vagina he's having sex with, unless of course he was long himself and needed the extra room? It would be snug nevertheless.

Besides, you missed my analogy completely. Vaginal length in Inches = Gas mileage per gallon per vehicle(SUV is a guzzler), not overall vastness of the comparative vehicles. Sheesh, in that case who'd want to be an SUV. ;-)

Well...the fact is that ALL penises DO grow when aroused...why would it be any different for women during arousal?

No one said that all vagina's were all the same....well...they mostly are with respect to girth(the vagina is a potential space not a hole); and they do vary slightly in length. Couple that with varied amount of tenting and you will definitely come up with a different number of inches that each woman can easily accommodate. Other than EXTREME sizes, I don't think that length of the penis really makes a difference in the feeling. In other words, lets take a woman who has a 4" vagina, and while aroused tents 3 more inches. Total of 7 inches she can accommodate. I don't think that a 7" or a 4" penis would feel that much different to her. I also don't think that a man with a 4" penis would feel anything different if he was inside of a woman who had a 6" length vagina and tented 3 more inches(total of 9" accommodation) as opposed to the first woman who can accommodate 7".

In summary, I don't think that length really makes a difference with respect to sensation, unless the penis way surpasses the capacity and literally hits a wall.

Of course, the discussion that's missing here is the size of the woman. I've slept with around twenty women and their 'girth' varies considerably. None of them have had children by the way.

A few could only take two fingers, most could take three and a few I could fit my entire hand inside them. This did not appear to be dependent on the number of sexual partners or age. I'm fairly average (7 inches?) but with one girl I barely touched the sides!

Rain, The polls here do indicate that women do prefer girth over just length...In my studies ;) I have found that different women have different lengths as well as different girths...It is true that some women are a lot tighter than others..Ofcourse there are the extremes as someone mentioned before, some women are very tight (too tight) and others are huge.. But, by in large, most women are the same size. My personal preference is that the woman be just a deeper than I am long, that way I have no chance of hurting her as we get carried away.
My ex was a little shallow for me, and I needed to be careful..On the other hand my wife now is deeper which we both find to be better than our previous S.O`s..She had a bf who was 9" and wasnt careful, he hurt her everytime by going too deep.. You might say we "fit" perfectly together.
In other words my length and girth matches her depth and width well.

Recent research -- MRI images of couples doing the deed -- disprove the Masters & Johnson assertion of significant vaginal/cervical inflation.

Yes, I just happened to see that program where those MRI's were done. However, I'm sure that variances will still occur between women.

Are you sure you're not confusing that they were incorrect about changes that occur to the uterus during arousal? Here's what I found:

http://bmj.bmjjournals.com/cgi/content/full/319/7225/1596

"Contemporary scientific knowledge about internal genital changes during female sexual arousal relates mainly to the vagina (thickening of the vaginal wall due to vasodilation, lubrication, widening of the vaginal cavity), the urethra (possible engorgement of the vascular tissue of the urethra), and the uterus (upwards movement of the uterus=tenting effect+change in position of the uterus+change in size of the uterus). Recent research on the anatomical relation between urethra and clitoris showed that the perineal urethra is embedded in the anterior vaginal wall and is surrounded by erectile tissue in all directions except posteriorly where it relates to the vaginal wall.10 The bulbs of the vestibule directly relate to the other clitoral components and the urethra. Details of the vaginal wall, the urethra, and the bulbs of the vestibule were unfortunately beyond the resolution of our current equipment. However, we were able to see displacement of the uterus (upwards) and lengthening of the anterior vaginal wall and hardly any change in the position of the uterus during sexual arousal, unless it was caused by intromission of the penis.

In contrast to the findings of Masters and Johnson,4 our images did not show an increase in the size of the uterus during sexual arousal. These observations are not surprising. From an anatomical and physiological point of view there is no basis for a 50-100% increase in the volume of the uterus in such a short time. Masters and Johnson made their observations with bimanual palpation. Their interpretation may have been caused by the raising of the uterus or filling of the bladder during their experiments.

Changes during sexual arousal
Magnetic resonance imaging showed strikingly that during female sexual arousal changes occurred in the anterior vaginal wall. These changes took place in the vaginal wall itself (the engorgement as such is not visible on the images), through the raising of the uterus, displacement of the uterus caused by penetration of the penis, and through gradual filling of the bladder. Histological studies 11 12 and immunohistochemistry13 have shown that the anterior wall of the vagina has denser innervation than the posterior wall. This is supported by clinical studies 14 15 and research into vaginal sensitivity to electric stimuli16 in which the anterior vaginal wallwith the urethra behind itwas found to be relatively sensitive. Hoch's concept of a clitoral-vaginal sensory arm of the orgasmic reflex refers specifically to the anterior vaginal wall and the deeper tissuesthe urinary bladder, the periurethral tissues, and Halban's fascia15and our images support this.

Conclusion
What started as artistic and scientific curiosity has now been realised. We have shown that magnetic resonance images of the female sexual response and the male and female genitals during coitus are feasible and beautiful; that the penis during intercourse in the "missionary position" has the shape of a boomerang and not of an S as drawn by Dickinson; and that, in contrast to the findings of Masters and Johnson, there was no evidence of an increase in the volume of the uterus during sexual arousal."
