Slut?

I have a friend that until recently I thought to be promisquous. However, after she told me that she had a "great" weekend, sleeping with three different guys in three days, I couldn't help but question what I thought. The first guy she is in a "relationship" with. (the relationship is just for sex as far as she is concerned. Im not sure of his view) The second guy is a co-worker. Christmas party aftermath. The third is an ex she has been on and off fighting with for past year. She had a hotel room and mentioned to her ex she was alone in the room. He just shows up un-announced and the deed was done. Im not sure what to think of this. If it was a story I heard of someone else I would probably say "what a slut". Am i over re-acting or is she slutty?

Thanks in advance for any comments.

Slut is such a nasty word, but I wonder why you question your original opinion that she's "promiscuous"......since they both mean approximately the same thing.

Since the meaning of "promiscuous" is "sexually indiscriminate".....I'd say your friend qualifies for both descriptions.

However, since she's your friend, it would behoove you not to judge her, but her actions might be questioned (that is if she asks your opinion).

Bottom line, it's her life, and she can live it however she wants to live it.

What is your view though on a guy bagging three chics in one weekend????

Sexual behavior is such a one way street depending on what gender is getting the "strange".

She's an adult and what she does with her life is her decision to make.

If your friend were a male, would you still have this question running through your head? What is good for the goose, is good for the gander!

It makes no difference to me whether it is male or female. I would look at a guy in that situation as a pig. Call me old-fashioned.

Ok, so your "friend" is a pig. How is that different than a "slut" or "promiscuous"?

If you don't want that kind of "friend"....then you should drop her.

It doesn't matter what your thoughts are.

Your friend just sounds like she likes to have a good time. Back in my single years, she would have been "my kind of girl".
So long as she isn't nailing married guys, she should be able to do anything she wishes unless she has her eye on your guy.

Why are you concerned about your friend's sexual activity? Do you have a genuine concern for her safety and well being? Are you jealous? Are you interested in her? I think these are better issues for you to dwell on rather than worry about placing a label on her.
