Slut in the bedroom??

A man on another post said that all men want a slut in the bedroom. I've always heard this growing up too. Isn't a slut a woman who is dirty and services men? The dictionary definition is:

A woman considered sexually promiscuous.

A woman prostitute.

A slovenly woman; a slattern

All negative, IMO.

I love and enjoy sex to it's fullest potential. Considering the fact that this is the twenty-first century, I think that it's about over due that we come up with a better associated word other than "slut" for a women who enjoys sex(particularly sex within a monogomous relationship). It's very offensive that women who enjoy sex are compared with a person who has little or no self-respect and who is most likely not respected by the men she's having sex with.

Additionally, not all women have to act like sluts(servicing men). I believe that a woman can be extremely sexy and sexual just by being themselves. Which may be the furthest thing from being slutty. It may be she has a sweet, natural, demeaner.

You don't agree that the word slut should be replaced with something more suiting and positive? ;-)

Nope, because I don't see it as negative(when used playfully between partners). It's certainly not something I would use in everday conversation, but there are alot of words I use in the bedroom that wouldn't be fit for everyday conversation ;o)

So I guess Jeep likes "a slovenly, unkempt woman of questionable character?" Gee, I wonder why some women would be offended by that phrase?

Hey, whatever turns you on. ;-)...and I wouldn't be surprised if it's the norm, right along with those that are used outside of the bedroom. Like "psycho" and "b." as someone else mentioned...part of our culture.

Hi there, I've been just reading for a few days and am new here. I've enjoyed your board. I've noticed on iVillage that each board develops it's own unique collective personality. I believe from reading this thread that I've found the "Let's beat this subject to DEATH" board. ;-D

Well, it's time for me to go home to my hubbie now....that Thick Slice of Man Meat, Stud Muffin, Horn Dog, NASTY Boy (in the bedroom, of course) that I adore and respect so much. LOL! Pardon my teasing.

Yep, you've got us pegged, alright! LOL! I think it's a sign of a healthy, busy board where everyone wants to get a word in edgewise though.

"Thick slice of Man Meat!" I love it, too funny!

Oh, come on now! We can certainly come up with a negative slang label(that can be positive and cute when used by a selective few) to describe "a healthy, busy board where everyone wants to get a word in edgewise."
